The area around the river was very pretty, with the two castles almost side by side. Very lucky with sunshine and blue sky. After an initially disappointing accommodation experience, we found a very nice hotel (Hotel Inger). Clean, modern, great staff and reasonably priced with on site parking.Guest review byMichaelSweden - 8.0

Narva-Jõesuu has a very long sandy beach with lots of room for privacy. It is a small and nice and green town to walk around and enjoy life. If you do not want to splurge, would recommend restaurant Lemmik where two people can eat for 20-25 Euros (without drinks). Coop is a large grocery store in the center of town where you cand find everything. There's a very good separate bikeway along the main street through the town and there's also a very nice bikeway along the roab to Narva beside Narva River.Guest review byPriitEstonia - 10

Johvi is a small town, but it surprised us with a very modern concert hall and a few other buildings, large modern shops, a stylish bridge, and attractive lingonberry lamps and chairs. Everything was clean and tidy, the snowy paths were cleared. Drivers patiently let us cross the street. It seems that the residents love their city.Guest review byGundegaLatvia - 10
Do take your time.
Do take your time. Walk in part and on its various trails, visit 3D experience at former presidential palace grounds. Go swimming if its in summer. Visit Sillamäe and Narva and their various sightseeing's.Guest review byAinEstonia - 10

Sillamäe is a real favorite among Estonian towns - its architecture is so special and beautiful, and the many parks, allés and flowers make it even greater. Sillamäe is also a good place for swimming. People are nice and Russian-speaking, a language with a beauty.Guest review byPer DanielEstonia - 2.0

I was so am disappointed to be out in a wooden chalet across a field!! Instead of a hotel room in the main building..certainly not what I thought I had booked. The English speaking staff were friendly and efficient at dinner and breakfast, others frowned. My evening meal was very good. I imagine that if you were given one of the 12 hotel rooms it would have been a completely different experience. I advise that you clarify this.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10
Breakfast was great!
Breakfast was great! Location was great - sea view from the hotel window. Nice beach for evening walks. Charming observation tower. Local history museum right in the hotel. Worth every euro spent staying.Guest review byBaibaLatvia - 10

I do not know any other town, where you can see two medieval castles in good condition from two different countries watching each other over the river. Nice promenade. Bastion Viktoria. Kaar cafe. Fabulous view of the river from Ranna Resto terrace.Guest review byilia.vRussia - 10
the visit is different depending on the season of the year.
the visit is different depending on the season of the year. during the summer it is a beach vacation with a lot of people visiting the city. during the off season the place is a bit more deserted, but not completely empty very scenic views and great air, wonderful place to relax and unwind there are several Hotels and SPAs that you can stay in and enjoy even more relaxation and saunas Narva-Jõesuu is different from what it was 5-10 years ago and happy to see it actually improving. there is still plenty to be doneGuest review byStanislavEstonia - 10
Nice little coastal town with newly built promenade.
Nice little coastal town with newly built promenade. Plenty of walking and cycling opportunities in and around. Diverse architecture examples from different periods, unfortunately, not all well looked after. Overall, a good place for a relaxing holiday.Guest review byTatianaUnited Kingdom
