The staff was friendly and ready to assist, the entrance, reception and common spaces were cozy. The room was clean and sunny, with some nice ideas, like a small mattress to sit by the window and large closets with sliding doors. The breakfast room (actually a restaurant) was a very interesting building. There could have been a few more breakfast options as we missed some stuff (e.g. honey). There is a lot to see and do in Copenhagen.
There is a lot to see and do in Copenhagen. I enjoyed the good art museums, churches, Nyhavn area, open top harbor cruise and some good restaurants (especially Riz Raz Vegetarian!). Helsingor is an adorable town an hour north of Copenhagen. I don't know that I'd have ever thought to go there but my son decided to get married there. It was an ideal meeting place for both families as his wife is from Germany. There are lots of lovely shops and restaurants and the ferry to Sweden is super easy to catch. I traveled by train from Copenhagen to do a 3 day hike. Koge was such a pleasant surprise - gorgeous architecture, good little hotel close to the market square, lots of amenities (shops/restaurants). Took a bus from train station (get your bus and train tickets in a 7 Eleven) to furthest point to hike to Stevens Klimt. Had to return there that night to connect onto another train to Mons Island - amazing hiking spot! It dark in these time of the year, but it is a great and green place. Friendly people and possibly nice path for recreations. I were business there though. Very clean, newly renovated, quiet. The room well appointed. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. The hotel is in a small shopping area with a supermarket,small restaurants and every convenience very close. It’s a bit out of the city centre, so maybe not ideal if you are sightseeing in Copenhagen, but it’s on a bus line. My only small gripe- the pillows were small and we could have used two each and the winter bedcovers were too warm for June. The hotel is clean and very close to the train station so, it was very easy to get to central station which gives you access to all the trains that will get you to where you want to go. Lovely quiet place at the end of a dead road. Only traffic passing by is for 2 other houses. Beach and nature right outside the door. Copenhagen only half an hour away by train. Shopping mall less than 2 km away. Several supermarkeds in the area. We had a car to get around.
