- From US$203.99 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,410 reviewsPerfectly located, charming ambience, quirky rooms, and ultimate comfort in plush beds, this is our go-to hotel whenever we visit family nearby. From breakfast views of Fredensborg Palace to leisurely lunches in the Bistro courtyard, to enjoying a nightcap around the fireplace (yes, summer evenings can be cool), it's always tough to say goodbye at the end of our stay.Guest review byKarenAustralia

The location is amazingly relaxing, a few minutes walk away from the woods and from the beach. Breakfast was really good and served at a convenient time. Helsingor is an adorable town an hour north of Copenhagen.
Helsingor is an adorable town an hour north of Copenhagen. I don't know that I'd have ever thought to go there but my son decided to get married there. It was an ideal meeting place for both families as his wife is from Germany. There are lots of lovely shops and restaurants and the ferry to Sweden is super easy to catch. We enjoyed our short stay. :)Guest review byOliviaUnited States - 6.0
A city famous for its castle.
A city famous for its castle. Otherwise, classic countryside, from the point of view of gastronomy, nothing that would in any way stand out above the Danish standard. Bad taxi service, quite problematic for those who don't come by car.Guest review byJanCzech Republic - 10.0
Beautiful location, fun bungalow.
Beautiful location, fun bungalow. Area was cold and windy in July 2022 and the beach directly below was rocky .. But again beautiful location. Very warm in July 2021. so just matters the year for weather..Guest review byM Johansen HUnited States - 6.0

Nice town but there really isn't that much to do in out of season (which is July and August) - sea is too cold to swim and had some bacteria in it. The town itself is nice but the harbor is really where most of the action is. There is nothing to do when the weather is rainy. We've spent 3 nights in Hornbaek and found ourselves driving to Helsingør every day to enjoy good coffee, museums, etc.Guest review bypetr_svecCzech Republic - 8.0
We could only stay one night.
We could only stay one night. Therefore, can't comment much about Snekkersten. The property is nice and my room faced out onto their lovely garden. Annette gave us a warm welcome and left a bag of homemade treats, including delicious "Grandma cookies" for us to take in the morning when we left.Guest review byJohnUnited States - 10.0

Historic buildings extremely interesting, nice architectural design of the town, close location to many potential places worth sightseeing. A little bit too poor availability of restaurants, in particular on weekends. Very unfortunate system of payment for parking lots in town, complicated in operation and not always working. Personally I was very displeased with necessity to install mobile apps.Guest review byMirosławPoland - 10.0

The restaurant offered original dishes created by the in-house chef. We had the special of the week which was chicken in a delicious cognac and mustard cream sauce. There were also many other options to choose from including the house burger and french fries which looked very good too!Guest review byChristinaDenmark - 10.0
Absolutely worth a visit for anyone who has not been before.
Absolutely worth a visit for anyone who has not been before. The perfect addition to a Copenhagen trip as it is not far and you can drive back along Strandvejen, the coastal road all the way back to the city via some wonderful stops. Enjoy!Guest review byAnabelleUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Helsingør is a lovely town with beautiful medieval buildings, lots of nice shops, cafes and restaurants. It's by the sea, so has it's own beach, a large castle, museums, bike hire, a cultural centre and it's very quick and easy to go to Copenhagen by train, or to Helsingborg by ferry, or to visit some of the nearbypretty coastal villages by bus or train.Guest review byMalinUnited Kingdom
