It was very clean in rooms, so clean and new bed textile, regular daily room cleaning. It was exceptionally polite personnel, staff at the front desk helped to solve all questions. It is also convenient, that there is a big parking right behind the corner of the hotel. I would like to emphasize that the breakfast was simply amazing: home made style of omelette was combined with selection - 8 salads, 9 mild cheese, 6 hard cheese, salmon, sausages, meatballs. You could have as well serials, croissants, toasts, joghurts, and what is amazing - champagne! I have read in previous comments, that railway near hotel makes noise and I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel staff took the complaints into consideration and earplugs were provided for everyone in the rooms. But actually we didn't hear the noise, it depends which side faced the window. Also note that only two hotels in Rüdesheim including Traube Hotel have a driveway in front of the hotel, to all the others you have to carry your things from the parking lot by foot.Guest review byIrinaUkraine

We have always loved this winery, and have always wanted to stay right on the premises! It exceeded our expectations! We rode bikes here, and it was easy to reach right from the river! (Very close to bus/train station as well) The staff was very nice, and we even received wine vouches for a free glass when we arrived! The room was great, and very comfy beds! Breakfast was amazing, with many options and very delicious food! This is also a great location to explore other areas of Eltville! Pretty nice holiday getaway hotel with good location, view, facility and friendly staff. The town is a tourist magnet, but for those who know the Rheingau also a Mecca, neighbouring Gesienheim has the University where many Rheingau wine makers will have studied. The whole Rheingau is within reach, the steep Rüdesheim vineyards above the town are wonderful and peaceful for walking, those with less energy can take the chairlift. We tried the Spanish restaurant near the Bahnhof and Breuer's Schloss restaurant opposite (4 metres away) from the Hotel Lindenwirt where we stayed and also ate and drank. Pretty little town set on the Rhine.
Pretty little town set on the Rhine. The houses are colourful and diverse styles making it a pleasure just to walk the streets and admire them. The walking path west along the Rhine was great for early morning 10km jogs. There are lots of little clothes shops to visit if you like shopping. Ostrich-Winkel is a hidden treasure! This enchanting town is straight out of a fairytale, with its charming crooked streets, inviting restaurants, and an atmosphere that feels both magical and welcoming. The panoramic views are simply stunning - every turn reveals another picture-perfect moment. Highlights of my visit included exploring the quirky Kauters Corner, discovering local pizza craftsmanship at the Ostreich Factory, and enjoying an absolutely delicious meal at Athenas Mediterrane . The Greek restaurant served authentic flavors with warm hospitality that made the experience even more special. For anyone seeking a delightful blend of history, charm, and culinary delights, Ostrich-Winkel is a must-visit. I came to Rüdesheim for peace and quiet and beautiful scenery, and I was not disappointed! I did observe that the tourist crowd tends toward older people. The Drosselgasse can get quite lively during the evening, but on a Monday night, the whole town seems to shut down around 10pm. This may not be an ideal vacation hotspot for the young, hip, 20-30-something crowd, but if you are looking for natural beauty, local history, and a nice, quiet, chill community to spend a few days, then I'd definitely recommend Rüdesheim!Guest review byKatherineUnited States - 10.0
It is a cosy, little town.
It is a cosy, little town. I was off-season and only for one night, so the town wasn't bustling with people. I arrived by train and it is very walkable city. If I have arrived by car, I would probably get irritated as there was a relatively large traffic jam when I left the train station and entire one-way street was filled with cars. I believe the entire region is best to be travelled by public transportation or bike or combination thereof. The town is next to a very busy road which spoils enjoyment of the riverside. If you are hoping to try local wines, you would be better choosing another town, (or perhaps a hotel in the town centre) my stay by the station was not near anywhere to eat or sample local wines. We love this location.
We love this location. It was on the side of the Ryan river with mountains and castles located close by. There was a number of good shops and cafes and a lovely cable car ride to the top of the mountain which increased the views.
