The Nixdorf Museum and central Paderborn can be reached by bus (stops just outside the hotel) in about 20min. The room and bathroom are spacious and very quiet (we had a room at the back, facing the park). The meal in the restaurant was nice, with a good selection of food and beverages at reasonable cost. We picked Paderborn as a stopover as it was a convenient distance from our ferry port. A modern town and not particularily attractive it does have a good selection of shops. I'm a bit biased as my mother and grandmother are from Paderborn but I had not been there for quite a few years, so I wanted to see the Christmas market. That was amazing beautiful lighting great shopping loads of things to eat. You need to visit the Dome and other churches around the area as they are lovely, nothing like them in the UK.
