The room was great, beds comfortable, everything clean. The balcony was very handy addition to the room. The breakfast was very good, a lot of varieties. It actually reminds me of some 5* hotels in Dubai. The best part were the two swimming pools. One is gigantic rectangular, the other was huge lagoon style with a little bridge over it. We couldn't decide where to spend more time. Kids loved both pools. There is also a beach access. Even though this is not your postcard type of beach, it was really convenient to have a beach, reserved for resort guests only. There are water sports activities available on the beach. Finally, even though the resort is some 10km or so away from the Larnaka city centre, there is a bus stop literary in front of the resort and it takes 15-20min by bus to reach it. The staff and the owner were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always making us feel at home. We were in the area for a shooting competition and had a packed schedule, but they were incredibly accommodating with early breakfasts and late dinners. The fridge wasn't cooling enough, and when we came back at the end of the day we found a brand new(!) fridge, and our products moved into it. The accomodation itself was comfy and very nice, it was truly a bummer that it was too cold to swim in the private pool. We chose a strategy of staying in a relatively central location, between Larnaca/Limassol and Ayia Napa, and rented a car. There are many small streets to stroll around.
There are many small streets to stroll around. My favourite architectural details were the many arches, hidden courtyards and the various antique door knockers. You need at least 2 days to unwind and explore. We ate at House 1923 for dinner, and also return for iced coffee. Nice atmosphere ina restore historic hotel. Lovely little place with pretty houses to look at and a few facilities such as small shops and restaurants. Perfect for a quiet, relaxing holiday and good to be able to access bigger places within half an hour if looking for a busier day. Nice place to escape from noisy city to a quiet place, highly recommend for group of friends, couples and travellers with animals. All staff are pet friendly. The area is nice and clean. The rooms are good and tidy, bed is very nice and comfortable, bedsheets are nice and fresh. Bathroom is good but has lots of plaque in the sink and shower facilities as well as glasses, plates and cutlery in the kitchen - will recommend to take it into management consideration. Located in the hills about 10-15 mins from the sea and beaches, Tochni is an unspoilt authentic traditional village with classic Mediterranean vibes. Many of the streets are pedestrian only, narrow and lined with charming stone buildings. In the centre near the main Church there is a cute little grocery store and fantastic village taverna. Small but very clean and beautiful village. Pleasant to walk about. Great restaurant, Retro, good quality, fair prices. Village square offers a nice cafe at very reasonable prices. Larnaka is a nice city to visit.
Larnaka is a nice city to visit. well organized for tourists, with affordable prices for taxi rides, bus transfer from the Airport to most of the city destinations, nice beaches, restaurants, and shops. People are friendly, polite, and helpful. Connection with other cities is great. I ate at the Archontikon restaurant and Hobos cafe, amazing food and service.
