They also called us the taxi for the great chinese wall, the driver waited for us and has spoken english. Gave us many tips, as for example, do not try to go to the restaurants at 12:00 and 18:00, that is the time when everyone is eating, so you will have to buy food at seven/11. Also the 90% of the restaurants are in shopping malls, there is one 10 minutes from the hotel on the main walking street. There was no possibility to reserve table in the traditional chinese restaurants, so don't try, they offer you a small chair to sit down and wait for two hours. The position of the hotel is the best possible, if you like to walk you can reach almost anything within 30 to 50 minutes, if not than there is always a taxi, which is not expensive.Guest review bySemirAustria

It's best for the great wall.
It's best for the great wall. I recommend going to simatai for the sunset, jinshanling for the awe inspiring views and panlong for the untamed wild serenity. To get to panlong, you need to didi or get a car to the bottom, then pay 25rmb to get in. Once at the top, turn right (east). You have to come back the way you came(apparently there is another way down but we couldn't find it). Wear sensible shoes. Miyun isn't easy to get around.
