- From $204.39 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 395 reviewsDel Mar is where you want to stay whilst in Pichelimu. The lodge is perfectly located between 'downtown Pichelimu' and the incredible Punta de Lobos viewpoint & surfers spectacle, both accessible via the beach, or with Taxi Collectivos operating up and down the main road. Small shops, restaurants & a supermarket within a 10' walk. Rooms offer top view of the gardens (beautifully cared for) beach & ocean, and are beautifully styled with equipped kitchen (I was staying in a suite, surely bungalows are even bigger & better). Whatever wasn't there I just asked Pablo & his staff who made it all happen. Copious in-room breakfast, WiFi impeccable. Great pool/sauna/hot tub area all free. Pablo recommended local activities and I got to visit a nearby mushroom nursery and kayak on a lagoon whilst birdwatching at moonrise. Bliss. But the real magic happened when I needed help with some private matters: Pablo was incredibly supportive, arranging local services with genuine, above-and-beyond hospitality. A memorable experience that left me with a deep appreciation for both the hotel and the country.Guest review byCédricUnited Kingdom
- From $139.52 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 266 reviewsWe stayed in 7 different accommodations during our trip to Chile and this ranks one of the highest, the breakfast definitely the most original and best. Breakfast was either delivered to your room or enjoyed in the restaurant but it was very traditional with juice, huevos,,local breads, meats and cheese. It was a lot of food to be honest but you didn't need any lunch! Every other hotel did a rather bland array of breads, cheeses, yoghurts and coffee, this was a level above all of those. Each room seemed to have its own very private patio and nature could be enjoyed. The restaurant also did great food and the sunset views made it worthwhile in itself. The facilities were great and the WhatsApp for communication worked perfectly, even down to the video shared before arrival of how to navigate the turn into the lodge. Well done Cuarzo Lodge!Guest review byNicholasUnited Kingdom

The whole area around the hotel is amazingly beautiful, easy to sit and relax for a bit. The staff were helpful and friendly, and very attentive. The restaurant was good as well, convenient, maybe a bit too pricey but the food was good. I loved the place and i would go back again!Guest review byCherylUnited States

We enjoyed the pelicans.
We enjoyed the pelicans. The town itself was very touristy and not our style. We found a restaurant we liked and had two dinners at the beach which were excellent. Could have spent another day watching the pelicans diving into the waterGuest review byCindyUnited States - 8.0
We visited several wineries during our visit.
We visited several wineries during our visit. We particularly liked Vina Maquis, Estampa, Vina Viu Manet, and Laura Hartwig. We also enjoyed the Museo del Vino and the Automobile Museum at Vina Santa Cruz. We ate at several good places - lunch at the cafe at Estampa, Peruvian food at La Casita de Barreales, and dinner twice at Parrilla Candil steakhouse.Guest review byCarolUnited States - 8.0
We came to Rancagua for the major hospital for the area.
We came to Rancagua for the major hospital for the area. We were visiting a very sick relative. So we weren't visiting the city itself. As a regional city it has all the usual things. Liked the wide footpaths and bicycle lanes. Because it is a regional city, it is good to have at least some Spanish as not many people speak any English.Guest review byJaneAustralia - 10.0

The beach is great and there is an excellent pizza restaurant. There are also plenty of little shops where you can buy groceries or other things you need. It is close to Navidad, where they are more stores and a pharmacy. We walked around the area by the shops restaurants, and cabanas, and it was nice to not have to find parking by the beach.Guest review byEdwardsChile - 10.0

Pichilemu is usually awesome, however in this stay it was a bit too crowded for my taste; perhaps the fact this past weekend there was a music festival + the summer people, but the town access was terrible and most eating places very crowded; little information updated in the places social networkGuest review byRoseRosalesRichardsChile - 10.0

The city at first was quite disappointing but once we had checked in in our great hostal the owners advised us to take a wine tour and to go for lunch in the beautiful restaurant.. there is also the beautiful village of lolol nearby with 3 museums ( hand craft ,vine and auto mobiles ) and à natural park with indigenous palm trees we didn’t even get around to visit it img . The nature around sc ( when you head ti the hills ) is very nice, feels like haute Provence ( a little)Guest review byreneeNetherlands - 2.0
It was a worst experience in my life unfortunately.
It was a worst experience in my life unfortunately. I booked and paid for a deluxe room with balcony. Got standard room without balcony. Feel ripped off. In the evening until 11 pm was a live music so loud that we couldn’t hear anything on TV or sleep. We felt like in a club. There is no sound proof walls for this kind of event. There is no information on their website about very loud live music. There is no vine list. Menu is very poor. Sandwiches and curry on the sea side… We left in the night and prefer drive 3 hours back to Santiago then stay there. Lack of interpersonal skills of manager is absolutely shocking. She was very rude and arrogant almost screaming to our back while living the place. Plus on top of that we got threat email after giving bad note experience.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Santa Cruz is a really good base for exploring thr wine area. An interesting small town to walk around. Good restaurants and bars. There is a very good museum in town with lots of artifacts from all around Chile. Very well displayed and lots of information, we used google translate and visited twice during our stay as there was so much to see. Easy to travel to the many vineyards, we used uber to go to the restaurant at the Montes vineyard Fuegos de Alpata , the meal was fabulous. La Casita de Barrealas has an excellent menu and well worth visiting in walking distance of the town centre.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom
