We've been many times in San Pedro and I can say that this is one of the best Hotels in San Pedro, very well located with rooms that are really charming and very confortable, but the very best is the service and friendliness of the staff. This hotel is perfect. It is close to one of the ends of the main street (Caracoles - agencies, restaurants etc), where the vans drop you off after the tours, near to the meeting point for the astronomic tour. It counts on a green area inside, so the weather inside is fresher than the rest of the city, making it even more pleasant. The room and the bathroom are spaceous and confortable; there is a small table, chair, places to put your luggage on. There is even a secondary door that leads to the green area. Bed is comfortable, shower is great, towels and sheets are good and smell good. There was heating but we went in the summer, there was no need.There are many blankets.There is not air conditioning or fan, but when we come back from the tours the room was fresh and pleasant. Opening the door or window we got natural wind. Breakfast is very good (not buffet, but they serve you fresh fruit, eggs, ham and cheese, bread, some sweet cake, tea, coffee, milk, juice (although not fresh), cereal. Cleaness is 100%, everything clean and the room smells great. Staff was very kind and effective. I mention here Mrs. Vania, with whom we had more contact, but all the hotel team was great. I have only good words for this great hotel.

Property is lovely. The main foyer area is so beautifully decorated and such a nice place to sit with a drink or read a book. So close to the main bussle of San Pedro. The staff were fantastic too. Honestly can’t speak more highly of the hotel.

    The hotel is wonderful and we stayed in the suite, which meant that we had the special perk of having private tours in a car at our discretion. Our guide Felipe was so knowledgeable, funny and attentive. The fact that the suites are all inclusive of transfers, trips, food and drinks is very relaxing.

    San Pedro de Atacama was one of the most beautiful surprises...

    San Pedro de Atacama was one of the most beautiful surprises from the 65 countries I’ve visited. I can’t recommend it enough. Nature is truly at its finest here, with breathtaking contrasts everywhere you look -- from otherworldly landscapes to serene lagoons and dramatic geysers. The beauty is endless, and words barely do it justice. A destination that stays with you long after you leave.

    La Portada is worth visiting.

    La Portada is worth visiting. The Huanchaca Ruins Museum unfortunately does not have accessible parking. The parking space at the entrance off a busy avenue has been blocked off with large boulders. Why????

    They waited me long time during check-in, even there is no...

    They waited me long time during check-in, even there is no customer in the middle of night. Their credit card machined didn't work, they asked me cash. I offered them to pay with USD but then they directed me another lobby to make this operation. That was totally mess. In addition my corridor was noisy at 5AM in the morning. That's not a nice experience for me.

    The surrounding attractions are amazing.

    The surrounding attractions are amazing. So many to explore. The drawback is the town itself, made so by the very fact that it is built around tourism. Must sees: Laguna Chaxa, Valle de Jarre, Valle Luna

    I came to Calama for a day to take the Chuquicamata Mine...

    I came to Calama for a day to take the Chuquicamata Mine tour and didn't do much else. It is a modern city with very an efficient public transportation system. It was a real hardship to find information on how to book the tour. The Edificio Caldelco website was totally inadequate in directing visitors on the process of reserving. I will post the current info on how to reserve the tour when I get home.

    This is a charming little town with lots of character.

    This is a charming little town with lots of character. It is also central to many wonderful tourist attractions, with many tour agent offices in town available to assist with activity planning. I spent 3 days here but could easily have spent 6 or more days here.

    My staying in Calama was just for one night while travelling...

    My staying in Calama was just for one night while travelling from Uyuni to Santiago, catching a flight at the nearby airport. I've walked the streets for a little bit during the day, I felt safe enough but didn't see anything interesting. It's dusty outside.
