This was my favourite hotel during our honeymoon trip! The owners are kind and friendly. They decorated our room beautifully with a giant balloon, some sweets and a heartwarming card after learning it was our honeymoon. We also enjoyed the beautiful lake and mountain views outside the hotel. It is located 1 stop away from Interlaken Ost so you can get more peace and privacy away from crowds. 8-10 min walk with heavy luggages to the station. The breakfast was great, loved the hummus, cheese and variety of bread. There’s no mocha but the owner kindly asked what it’s like and made it for me, it was delicious. Thank you very much! I highly recommend this hotel for its wonderful hospitality and great views!

The view from the balcony was fascinating! I am still seeing it in front of my eyes. Breakfast was good - nothing special. The size of the room is ok, we were two people with a apartment (two rooms) and we had enough space, but in the regular double room is quite small. Anyways, those small minuses fades when I remember the view and the helpful stuff there. I really recommend the place to everyone visiting Murren <3!

However, one of the most important details that made our stay so special was meeting Kris Jungo, who works at the Front Office. Kris was incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. He made us feel right at home. He patiently answered all our questions and enhanced our vacation with his recommendations, making it much more enjoyable. Kris’s professionalism and warmth were a wonderful reflection of Grandhotel Giessbach’s quality. Staying at this hotel is not only a peaceful getaway but also an opportunity to meet wonderful people.     This is a very sweet hotel, located right on the lake in Gunten. Had a very comfortable stay: the rooms were spacious, clean, and well suited for a good price. The spa is amazing - the little boathouse has great saunas and direct access to the lake if you fancy a quick dip in both winter and summer time. There’s also a fully functioning spa available and a nice selection of treatments. It’s a perfect place for a winter weekend getaway from the city. They also have a great restaurant for both dinner and breakfast, the food was well priced and really didn’t disappoint with the selection. The staff were very polite and attentive - they made me feel very welcome and answered all questions promptly. It was a lovely first stay and I’ll definitely be back for more and recommend to family and friends

    This is probably the most beautiful place in Switzerland we’ve been to. Very nice rooms with amazing views (even the mountain view), excellent breakfast, very kind personnel always helpful, many options for eating, all very good (especially the Titschli), lovely bar lounge with a wonderful pianoman singing in the evenings (thank you G D Angelo for the enchanting after dinner music), fabulous spa and very good kids spa too (enjoyable by parents as well), not to mention the incredible scenery surrounding the place, and really good ski school. Just an amazing place thank you all!

    I travel a lot and lots of experience with 5-star hotels. This one is definitely in my top 3. Very large and modern with some vintage touches. Suites are huge and well equipped with tablet to operate everything. Nice sugar bar, wine bar, multiple kitchens, really nice spa. Staff is really good and sincerely polite and helpful.

    Grindelwald is like a Swiss Fairytale.

    Grindelwald is like a Swiss Fairytale. All the wonderful Swiss Chalets, the incomparable alps, the charming Swiss people. Grindelwald is definitely a tourist town with shops selling all the Swiss trinkets, but that's part of the charm. No other place can you travel up to the famous Jungfrau and take in all that mountain offers. It's truly an adventure.

    I think Locarno is going to be one of the new tourist hotspots in the next decade. This spot is beautiful. Amazing lakeside retreat on the alps - the views are not comparable to anything I have ever seen. I loved that it was less crowded than most lakeside European cities I have been to - and think this is a great stop if you are in the Como/Milan area. 10/10 recommend for some relaxation, rejuvenation, and a vacation you won't forget.

    Montreux is a beautiful town, located on Lake Geneva, surrounded by mountains. Great dining, lovely flower lined promenade stretching for several kilometres along the lakeside. Great train services to many parts of Switzerland, especially the Golden Pass Express, which runs between Montreux and Interlaken, travelling through amazing landscapes, Special mention if you are a Queen fan is the Freddie Tour, which is an amazing tour and commentary about the time that Freddie Mercury and the band spent in Montreux's Mountain Studios, and the town, visiting locations where they hung out, and learning a true insight to Freddie. Will certainly return to this fabulous town.

    Easily enough to fill a couple of days prior to catching the train to Italy. Loved the open air pool, the cable car and the walk back to the city from the top of the mountain. Chur is worth a visit, but it struggles with the relationship between the old and new parts of the town.

There are lots of shops, good restaurants and great scenery BUT without skiing and the winter landscape St Moritz is not that special - nice place to visit but over-priced - one day and one-night during summer is sufficient to scratch the visitor's itch. Staying at St Moritz-bad is a bit cheaper whilst still close to everything and an easy walk to the big-name shops and good restaurants. Getting around by local bus (including to-from Bahnhof) is super easy, except the on-bus electronic ticket machines can be difficult. We stayed one-night and one-day and thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Swiss alpine village - just what I was looking for.

    Swiss alpine village - just what I was looking for. We had sunny days and a couple of rainy days, both were breathtaking in their own right. Nice connection too to Murren, Wengen, and Interlaken. At night, when the day tours have left, you can have the village "all for yourself" and that experience was almost divine.

    I arrived on the afternoon of a festival where the one-way Promenade was traffic free. With many street food stalls, music and a lot of public. The walk around the lake was enjoyable and also a trip up to Jakobshorn of reduced ticket prices (Fr. 18.- return, make sure that at the top you can get through the turnstile and not pay for the downhill journey like we did. Got a refund at the cash desk at the bottom though) for hotel guests with the tourist card. Also free travel on the the nostalgic train to Filisur and back and on all buses was a bonus. Scenery is splendid, and if you're a train enthusiast, it's the place to be for the Bernina or Glacier Express. Can recommend a bite to eat or just Coffee and Cake at Kaffee Klatsch on the Promenade. Schatzalp is just a funicular away and you'll feel lifted back to the beginning of the last century.

    3 Families sent us exchange students years ago, and we are still friends with all of them, so a lot of visiting. Dinner on the lake, afternoon tea at Schloss Schadau, downtown area by the river. plenty of scenic side trips like the funicular up the Neisen and the Thunerseespiele (musical presented in an outdoor theater overlooking the lake) and plenty of other things to se and do
