Grindelwald is like a Swiss Fairytale. All the wonderful Swiss Chalets, the incomparable alps, the charming Swiss people. Grindelwald is definitely a tourist town with shops selling all the Swiss trinkets, but that's part of the charm. Wengen is a perfect spot to make home base while you explore the Lauterbrunnen and Jungfrau region. This car free village is easily accessible by train from Lauterbrunnen, where you find a relatively cheap car park and train access to Interlaken. Wengen felt less crowded than Mürren or Lauterbrunnen in the valley. There are numerous restaurants, stores, and two grocery stores in town to stock up on essentials. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities and the refrigerator was good sized. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room for 5 adult guests. Brienz is easy to approach from interlaken by train or car. Brienz lake view, cruise journey from Brienz to Iseltwald, interlaken was awesome. Brienz Rothorn train ride is amazing and unforgettable and the views of Brienz lake from top of mountains were Marvellous.
