SerbiaOn a scale from 1 to 10, this place was for me at least 11. It was quiet, the room was spacious, impeccably clean, lovely big shower area and the hostess, Irene, was extremely helpful and kind. I had already booked some tours from Kasane before getting here, but I have to say that I regretted not going through Irene, since she can organise everything.
She went way above the "call of duty" and I truly felt as if I were at home away from home.
The yard is quite large and It felt very pleasant sitting there.
My only comment, which I shared with Irene, was that the presentation of the place on Booking.com was not clear enough. I had worried whether I would be able to get some food, while at the Nxabii Cottages, but in fact everything could be arranged - from self-catering, through home-made food, to ordering from the outside.
A true gem! Both the place and Irene.

EgyptOur stay at the POVI Guest House was excellent. Connie is one of the nicest human beings I’ve ever met. The accommodation was basic but clean, and she went above and beyond to help. You can book activities through the guest house; we booked game drives and river cruises, all of which were excellent. Highly recommend staying here.

FranceMartin (the owner) is a fantastic guy: he managed to create a remonte self sufficient place surrounded by nature.
One can see the elephants everyday at the pond.
The tents are very comfy and have a direct view on the pond
The lodge is ideally located between kasane and Savuti.
Cherry on the cake: Martin is always helpfull and has good advices.
Thank you Martin for those wonderful 4 days.

Only 7km from Ngoma Gate. The quiet area.
On route to the gate one morning on the road we saw African wild dogs, elephants and impala!

The cottages and camp site are located about 15 mins from Ngoma on the Botswana side of the border. We stayed in a self-catering cottage and would describe the facilities as excellent. The cottage had a queen size bed with mosquito net, a sofa which could be used as a bed, a large ensuite bathroom with an outside shower accessed from inside the bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. There is also an outdoor deck and table, and a braai for cooking. The reception has a well stocked shop with food, their own grown produce, and craft items for sale. There is wifi at reception area, plus complimentary tea and coffee, wit the option to buy coffee pods for the coffee machine. Staff were really helpful and organised an early check-in for us – the communication was excellent. The site also has campsites and ‘glamping’ tents, a swimming pool and a deck overlooking the Chobe river. We would definitely stay again.Guest review byMary New ZealandNew Zealand

For solo travellers going to Maun on bus, there is only 1 direct connection overnight. Muchenje has beautiful shaded level campsites with wonderful exclusive use spotless bathroom facilities, the Staff are professional and communication around your booking is almost instantaneous unlike the Botswana norm. The position is perfect to explore the southern reaches of the Chobe National Park as an alternative to Ihaha, or as a stop between Kasane and Savuti or before Ngoma Gate. It was easy to get around and we were able to get everything we needed. The boat trip on the Chobe River was unforgettable with the river crossing of the elephants and the sun going down! We also visit the Chobe Game Reserve and were able to see many lions, Kudu, impalas and a leopard!!! We did the early morning game drive and visitors must remember to dress warmly!
