It's a very authentic feel to the extent that female staff wear traditional clothing, everyone is so helpful and friendly - special shoutout to the excellent Ivan. There's food and drinks readily available, long hours. Spa facilities - the brave can swim in the lake, there is an indoor pool which has an outdoor part too, a very well equipped gym & sauna. Tasty food, we had breakfasts and dinners and the food was just great, rich variations, tasty vegetables and fruits, fine wine.. Staff was helpful, whatever we needed, they tried to help. There were a lot of small things, like you don't need to clean your room, you get the present, but all the small things make it to wonderful experience. The English of the staff wasn't great but with their little bit of English and my little bit of German we managed. The city is very nice, clean and offers a lot of possibilities (both for culture and nature) and good connection to Vienna and other beautiful places like Melk. We would love to come back. Our main complaint is that basically all supermarkets are closed on Sundays. Some of our favorite places were the Flederhaus and the Musik- und Kunstschule St. Pölten (see photos attached). The hotel was very clean and organized. The check in service via hotelomat was very convenient, fast, and efficient - for those who speak the languages indicated on it. I was wondering how would my mom manage if she arrived alone in midnight? In the morning the personnel was there, nice and smiling. This would be a lovely hotel for those that enjoying cycling or hiking on the area. The rooms are comfortable and very quiet as well as the hospitality of the staff and the breakfast are exceptionally wonderful. This is a nice and quiet place, if you are looking for just sleepin in. It offers parking, is modern/likely new and it offers very good breakfast. I enjoyed it in the end, despite I wasn’t thinking of sleeping in a ... gas station! We were thrilled to be able to stay in the countryside and not in a tourist town like Melk. We loved coming back to the cozy tower every day after our excursions and relaxing on the outdoor seating area. The apartment is spacious, modern, clean and perfectly equipped. Melk is a charming, quiet town where I would return as many times as possible. Melk Abbey is extremely imposing, beautiful and full of history. It is a must visit. The Abbey gardens are also splendid. Walking around the town or on the banks of the Danube is a pleasure. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes.
