I loved the beauty of Innsbruck and the friendly, kind locals. There was a wine festival and the atmosphere was wonderful with local musicians dressed in Tyrolean outfits and playing delightful music. The shops were great with many beautiful, well-made things to buy. It was delightful to walk into the old town by the river and the water was a gorgeous teal colour. Also drinking water is very pure and does not have fluoride which was a bonus. I was so taken with Innsbruck that I can’t wait to return.Guest review bySandraUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A breathtaking town set between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, surrounded by the majestic peaks of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. We had exceptional weather 26 degrees and no clouds, so the Gornergrat is a MUST DO in these conditions. Even paragliding should be considered. The town isn't big, so a good walk around is a great introduction, beware of the electric bikes as you walk down the high street ! However underground there is a lot more facilities and shops available... interesting to see the old town as well (a small cobblestone area of extremely old wooden chalets).Guest review bySteveUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Chamonix was a nice mountain town, with a pleasant dining district. We found it to be very pedestrian-friendly. We enjoyed the walking paths that lead up and down the valley. We could have used a little more information or maps about the hiking just outside the town.Guest review byRussell - 10.0

I'm a pubic transport guy, so i arrived with bus from Ljubljana – transport is good, there are buses frequently between the two towns. I went there mostly because of hiking, but there are all kinds of other sporting opportunity, especially water sports like SUP or rowing. I also spent some time with sightseeing: went to the island and also the Vintgard Gorge (do not miss it! Seriously, it's spectacular). Bled is a perfect destination for families, and also for hiking or doing other sports. I will definitely return.Guest review byTamásHungary - 10.0

The city is incredibly charming, with a vibe that feels much more Austrian than Italian. It’s also surrounded by plenty of beautiful hikes (which I wish I’d had time to do!). I only stayed for two days, and while one day is enough to see the city itself, the real highlight is exploring the trails and nature nearby. The food is distinctly Austrian, hearty and delicious, and the bakeries are absolutely fantastic.Guest review byLuiza - 10.0

One of the most beautiful places in the region. Tourists' friendly atmosphere. Fantastic Free Ticino Transportation Ticket. Ability to visit other towns i.e. Locarno, Bellinzona in convenient way. Spectacular views from mountains around Lugano i.e. Monte San Salvatore. Close to other attractions i.e. Milan, Como Lake, Brassalago Islands.Guest review byjkaczkaPoland - 8.0

We visited GAP 37 years ago so some things have changed...
We visited GAP 37 years ago so some things have changed quite a bit. It now has quite a variety of places to eat - Italian, Asian, Pizza on every corner and an international crowd of tourists. We really had to search to find traditional German food and when we did it was mediocre. Many restaurants do not open until 5pm. If they are open for lunch, it's usually from 11:30-2:00 so keep track of the time. Highly recommend reservations if you want to eat dinner between 5:30-8:30pm. We were there in September. It was sunny and it was hot. Most hotels and restaurants do not have air conditioning. Depending on your time, consider taking the cog train from town to The Zugspit and then the cable car down. Go on a clear, good weather day otherwise you will waste a lot of money. If you are in decent shape, consider the hike at the Partnachklamm Gorge..bring a flashlight and a light rain jacket. Of course if it's a hot day, you will welcome the cool water spray. Eibsee is a beautiful, clean lake with a small beach and hiking paths. One thing that hasn't change is the heavy, stop & go traffic getting to G-P. Allow at least an additional hour driving than what you were planning.Guest review byCarolynUnited States
