I loved Salzburg.
I loved Salzburg. Had planned a full-day round trip from Vienna and the OBB train station agent asked me if I want my return open.I said ok. So thankful for that suggestion/question. I got there around 4pm and right away started searching for a hotel. The city centre across the river is where I spent my 1.5 days (except for the apartment hotel in Anif at night) I didn’t book a guide and only followed the tourist crowd. Loved the hill-top view, Mozart museum, street cafe and the view everywhere. I was lucky that the rain had just stopped the day of my trip. would’ve loved the Eagle Nest and Sound of Music tour but no time for them.Guest review byMersedehCanada - 10.0

If you are a curious and fit person, you can find everything in Innsbruck! Culture, nature, shopping, sports - you name it. I have been there three times for 5-7 days. I am falling in love with the city more each time.Guest review byPantic - 10.0
Interlaken was the “cherry on top” of our European travels.
Interlaken was the “cherry on top” of our European travels. The views were amazing (I’ve never seen 30+ paragliders in the sky…in the ALPs no less!!!), the area was so quaint, the locals friendly; and eating Swiss fondue somehow tastes better from the Alps! Highky recommend cappuccino and breakfast at the Aarburg (Tim & His Wife are awesome & The food not only tastes amazing but each dish is a work of art!) and the Boutique Hotel Bellevue.Guest review byRichardUnited States - 8.0

Unless you are a dedicated hiker we think one and half to two days is enough time to spend there. We had already been up four mountain peaks in Switzerland so we were more interested in the area than going up another peak. Others with difference experience may have a view.Guest review byGarson - 8.0
Great place to visit. Plenty of bars/restaurants in town.
Great place to visit. Plenty of bars/restaurants in town. Probably 3-4 days enough if you just want to relax by the lake and in town. Longer if you're going to do some of the many trips/activities available - ziplining, canyoning, rafting. I'd recommend the canyoning and zipline. (can't comment on the rafting, as I didn't do it!!)Guest review byIanUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Great for the week-end, during autumn or even summer!
Great for the week-end, during autumn or even summer! Go take the train to Mer de Glace and go up the mountain to Aiguille du Midi. They're a must do! Also go on a little hike to Chalet de Floria for nice café with views. The hike is only 45 minutes and easy.Guest review byAngela P.France - 6.0
The hotel was good.
The hotel was good. Lugano had a lot of Somalian and others who were very aggressive with begging. One Somalian was essentially trying to commit strong armed robbery. Just be aware of your surroundings.Guest review byJonUnited States - 10.0

Would like to go back prepared to do the walks and hikes in the area. The old city and market were charming. Loved the Archeology museum and learning about Otzi the Iceman. Cable car and train a great introduction to the possibilities available for future visits.Guest review byKellyCanada - 10.0

We stayed for 3-1/2 days mostly hiking in the area in mid-August. Many tourists but manageable. Strongly, strongly suggest buying the Jungfrau Pass so you can access any trains, buses, and cable cars in the entire area. It makes it so easy to get around Grindelwald, Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen, Murren, Wengen, First, and the Eiger. We should have booked a 5 day stay as there were some other hikes and attractions we wanted to take and see. Definitely go to Glacier Canyon and walk it to the end, but take warm clothes as the canyon is quite cool even in August due to the glacial runoff. And for sure visit the base of the Eiger. Suggest you also always get up early and get transport to your destination as late mornings (August) can be very busy and cause long lines.Guest review byParkerUnited States - 10.0
Physically - GaPa is super easy to walk around.
Physically - GaPa is super easy to walk around. Mainly the walking is on flat, well maintained sidewalks. Also, If you like hiking up mountains there are plenty of trails to spend days exploring (weeks maybe?) We especially loved the mountain top restaurants. Spiritually - The Catholic Church's here (Like all over Europe) are beautiful and steeped in history. The crowds (tourists) were respectful and maintained a quiet demeanor as they walked around the church. But, for those serious about their Catholic Faith there is plenty of time in the church without crowds to spend in prayer, silence and contemplation with Jesus. Mentally - GaPa is a great place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. The people are friendly. The mountains are picture perfect. This place has got to be on your Bucket-list.Guest review byPeter
