Maradona was an excellent host. He went out of his way to make my stay comfortable and give me advice. He picked me up and dropped me off at the old town, saving me a walk whenever I asked. Above and beyond service, thanks! He also helped me take the public bus and spoke to the bus driver so he could tell me where to get off for the bus station. Really helpful! Thanks!

We stayed for two nights and absolutely loved it. The location is ideal for visiting the historic area on foot while also enjoying peace and quiet. Eleana is an incredible host, attentive, kind, and very thoughtful. The property itself is full of beautiful history, and the restoration has been carefully designed, making you feel as if you are in a truly unique place. You can ask for a place to park your car for free what is super useful in the storical distric. Breakfast on the terrace in front of the rooms was wonderful: homemade, varied, and abundant, a perfect way to enjoy the authentic flavors of the region. I would definitely recommend staying here. It’s a place with real personality and charm, and one that leaves you with very special memories.

Staff was really amazing! They do everything they can to fell you comfortable. They even asked about what we like for breakfast and bring avocado to be sure my wife would be satisfied because we don't eat meat. They also cooked some food even if we arrived super late 10:30 pm! And cherry on the cake, food was super tasty, super yummy. Hotel and rooms are brand new, staff is super helpful, kind and available. Localisation is perfect if you have a car, 5mn from the center of Gjirokaster. A perfect stay, we enjoyed everything and would be very pleased to stay at this hotel again. Definitely recommend this place! Thank you!

Perfectly placed at the beginning of the old bazaar and close to the underground parking. The staff was very friendly and helped us to free our cars from the maze of small streets. Brilliant breakfast, good Wi-Fi and a big room with a balcony giving on the bazaar. Good soundproofing, too. Would love to stay here again.

Gjirokastër is well worth a visit.

Gjirokastër is well worth a visit. From the main street (bus terminal), it’s a fairly steep climb to the main tourist area and castle. Beyond the castle, and much less crowed, you can make a hike to Ali Pasha bridge. The castle offers a pleasant viewpoint over the valley, and the obelisk also provides a good view of modern Gjirokastër.

Permet is a nice small city but with very good and...

Permet is a nice small city but with very good and hospitable people with a great history. It is called "the city of roses" because of the multi kinds of roses that grows in the city. Its culinary is one of the strongest points. Rafting, hiking, exploring and the termal baths are some of the things you can do there.

The natural views are crazy in my opinion.

The natural views are crazy in my opinion. Crazy mountains and rivers, streams everywhere. The people are very nice, I read about other accounts but we experienced nothing but kindness and politeness. Its off the beaten track which we personally like. Its not all tarted up and cheap touristic vibe like you get in so many European countries, that you dont know what is real anymore. The seaside is also now only about 50 min away - we took a road to Sarande that apparently was just completed, so we also experienced a bit of the mediteranean vibe.

We spent one day in Gjirokastër and it was wonderful! We visited the castle and the old bazaar, both full of history and charm. The city has such a unique atmosphere, beautiful views, and warm people. Definitely worth visiting, even if just for a day! I highly recommend it. 🏰✨

We really enjoyed our time in Përmet.

We really enjoyed our time in Përmet. The town was surprisingly clean compared to bigger tourist cities – no piles of garbage and no unpleasant smells, which made it very pleasant to walk around. It’s also much quieter, which we really appreciated. We ate at Bar Restaurant Lulishte, and I can’t recommend it highly enough – the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Getting around Përmet is quite easy since it’s a small town, and the beautiful landscapes make every walk enjoyable. For young couples, it’s a wonderful destination to relax, enjoy nature, and take in the peaceful vibe together.

It’s usually a day trip destination, but we decided to stay...

It’s usually a day trip destination, but we decided to stay for 4 nights. The old town was a nice place to walk around. The castle was a must visit. On the other days, we rented a car and drive to Sarande, Ksamil, Permet (thermos bath. We took a bus from Athens (we paid 5€ for the taxi to take us up to our hotel). After the 4 days, we took a bus to Tirana.

I liked Permet a lot!

I liked Permet a lot! It is a small town, so you see it in a single day but there is a beautiful river passing through it, and it is surrounded by mountains. There is a range of activities to do around Permet like rafting, hiking, canyoning. I stayed 3 days only but I would have enjoyed staying a bit more to do some hiking.
