Bernard gave us a very warm welcome and provided us with a wonderful stay in an oasis of well-being. The Lion Gate Hotel ultimately met all our expectations and not only did we have a great starting point for our activities around Sigiriya but also a place where we really enjoyed going to simply relax. The rooms are very nice, the facilities are new and modern. The service should be emphasized. Any type of requests were fulfilled immediately. I can highly recommend staying at Lion Gate Hotel.

It was the best decision to start my solo trip here as it already helped me meet people. The room is small but enough. It has a ventilator for the upper beds and another for the lower beds. The toilet and shower were very clean. The beds were comfy and pillows as well. They provide the bed sheeting. The kitchen!!! They have a small kitchen and it was gret for preparing breakfast and coffe and eating together with the rest of the people. They have hammocks and beds to chill everywhere, so the name fits very well ❤️‍🩹

This homestay features free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. The homestay has family rooms. We had an absolutely amazing stay! The room was clean and very comfortable. We loved the balcony and having a super delicious breakfast there enjoying the views and birds around was just so great! The location is a bit off the main city but we really enjoyed this as it wasn't so busy and the rice fields close by were a perfect place for sunset. On top of this, Sri and his family are so kind and helpful with everything! We were also able to rent a scooter which was really helpful too! We will definitely be back!

Accomodation was clean, comfortable and quiet. PLUS, Amma is a 5-star cook so the food was top quality - so very yummy! Don't hesitate! Book those place! I'll be going back regularly 😊.

The accommodation features free shuttle service, full-day security and currency exchange for guests. The host and his family were very accommodating and welcoming. They were all lovely to be around, the gentleman gave us some good recommendations and helped with transport .. The stay felt like home. Clean and comfortable, the wifi was really good and we had a really delicious breakfast. It was about a 30 minute walk into the city down hill, 5 minute Tuktuk back up for 200-350 SLR (uber or pick me). The bathroom needs a little love but it was a very good value for money and we both really enjoyed staying with the family. I would book again.
