A special highlight was watching squirrels from the balcony, which made our mornings even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Basel!

Very kind and helpful staff, amazing room with Nespresso coffee machine, very close to the old city center. We will be coming back (happily)..

Steinenschanze Charming City & Garden Hotel is less than 5 minutes' walk from Basel's city centre and the university, close to historical buildings and the old town.

The hotel offers a combination of fresh and friendly colours with comfort and functionality. The reception is open daily from 6:00 until 23:00. It was in a great location for public transport and walking distance to the city centre. All the staff were very nice and helpful with any questions or requests. The back garden area was also nice to sit in and have a drink.
