Opened in 2015, Das Franzl - Bett & Brot is 800 metres from the shore of Lake Wolfgang, where guests can use a lake access with a sunbathing lawn. Gorgeous surroundings, lovely staff, really nice food at hotel, very clean. I stayed in the dome and loved it (just be aware the bathroom and toilet are in the main building steps away)!

Friendly and helpful host. Part of a traditional family house. Comfy beds and blackout curtains. Possible to swim in lake directly in front of house, there is just a path in between. Quiet at night. Loved St Wolfgang and the lake, especially the ferry transport and the cog railway on the Schafberg mountain with its wonderful views. Good location for day trips too, such as Salzburg and Hallstatt. Like other Austrian towns we visited, St Wolfgang is very clean and civilised, and very pretty!
