I’ve been traveling all over Zanzibar for quite a while, exploring every beach, and in the last two days I finally found a hotel where I felt truly comfortable — just like at home. From the moment you step through the door, you are welcomed into a peaceful and very pleasant environment surrounded by greenery. The location is excellent; it’s only a 2-3 minute walk to the beach. The breakfast menu changes daily, and you can have it at any time you like. I think this is wonderful. The staff are very friendly. Mr. Alp helps with everything to make you feel at home, and I am very grateful to him. Being within walking distance of the beach and restaurants and in a safe area allows you to vacation alone comfortably. Hakuna Matata.

I loved my stay at The African Bungalows. The best place I ever stayed. I was crying when I left - not joking. The owner, the staff. They are so helpful with everything and I mean everything! I felt so welcomed. It's a very genuine place and they made my stay in Zanzibar absolutely awesome. The room is gorgeous and clean. The bed and the shower are nice and you will feel safe here. The place is made with such good traste! Outstanding value for money. And the food, don't forget the food. Breakfast and dinner were delish!! Whenever I come back to Zanzibar I will come back here. I couldn't have been happier! Best regards to my African Bungalow familiy, I will never forget all that you did to make my stay such a great experience. I can highly recommend this place to anyone who is planning to visit this paradise island called Zanzibar. Your stay here will be worth while. 🥰♥️🙏

Staff is super friendly. Elizabeth gave us useful information and tips about the island and where to go. They have an adorable dog Scoobie who protected us :) The territory of the hotel is beautiful, green, and always being taken care of. The swimming pool is equipped with the shower and 6 sunbeds. We loved the breakfast! It was from the menu, but you could choose 2 super tasty options every day, such as, for example, avocado toast, omelet, or pancake. Yummy!

The whole thing is perfect. In the first few days, I was sick and uncomfortable during my physiological period. The hotel staff cared about me very much, insisted on sending breakfast to my room, and bought medicine for me for free. I care about my health and happiness every day. After I recovered, I booked a trip for me and found a great dance for me. Everything is perfect and everyone is fine. I will come again ~

Haber Hotel is a fantastic place! Small family hotel located in Matemwe, it offers comfort and quiet atmosphere for a relaxing holiday. I would recommend it to all those who want to avoid the big crowded noisy touristic hotels on the coast but in the same time want to stay close to beautiful beaches (nearby you can find Muyuni beach and Matemwe beach). The owners, Kris and Kasha, are great and would do everything to make the stay of the guests unforgettable. The staff is very kind and the whole dynamic of this property is tailored to fit the needs and comfort of the guests. Breakfast is fabulous, served from 8am till noon, for those who like to sleep in late, and for lunch and dinner we could chose delicious options from a rich menu or even off menu. Pets are welcome (the hotel is actually named after Haber, the owners' cute Cocker Spaniel). At any time of our stay we felt welcome, safe, well taken care of and even spoiled.
