Initially, our preference was to secure lodging at the Orchid Chai Lai Resort, which is situated a brief ten-minute walk from 3 Pok Maewang. Unfortunately, we were unable to secure accommodations at this establishment due to unavailability. However, fortuitously, we discovered the 3 Pok Maewang resort, and were immensely satisfied with our experience. In fact, we found it to be superior to the Orchid Chai Lai, with its smaller and more intimate atmosphere, and the opportunity to interact with the elephants in the morning. Therefore, we recommend selecting the 3 Pok Maewang resort if you are seeking a cozier and more intimate setting than the Orchid Chai Lai. Furthermore, we were dissatisfied with the Orchid Chai Lai's dishonesty about their availability. We personally discovered two unoccupied rooms during both the evening and morning, despite being told that they were fully booked. This further solidified our appreciation for selecting the 3 Pok Maewang resort. Finally, we express our gratitude to the proprietor of the 3 Pok Maewang resort for the exceptional care he provided us during our stay, and for his remarkable honesty in returning a wallet containing our money and cards that we had misplaced in the parking lot. We are eternally grateful for this act of kindness. Overall, I would enthusiastically recommend 3 Pok Maewang to anyone searching for a delightful and affordable accommodation where you can interact with well taken care of elephants. Incredible stay. We both felt instantly at peace and in tranquility when we arrived here. The room is stunning and has the cozy wooden cabin feel. Warm shower, free water, kettle and towels provided ❤️. The views are picturesque and sitting on the patio provides the perfect viewing experience ❤️. Staff were excellent. Stayed in January and it was cold in the evening. Staff drove up to us with 2 extra quilts and 2 extra blankets. So kind. Excellent location. Just perfect 👌

Inthanon people are the kindest and warm smiling. Best "home" hospitality we ever felt. The homestay staff are also very friendly and helpful with information. They don't speak English, but I managed with translator. The location is very remote, we don't drive so it took us 2000 THB to reach there as no public transportation go to this village. But after reaching there, our whole stay was so happy and worthy 😁. Besides waterfalls and hiking trails, nearby elephant sanctuary also available within 1 hour max drive. They have a nice fountain we bathed there. And local home food here was the best among anywhere in Thailand. They even catched a wild hen and cooked for us. Real home food cooked with heart and love 💕 Suggestions for property ~ they can provide standing fans in the room, normally only 1 is wall attached.

We liked staying there. Amazing views surrounded by mountains. The cottage is simple but comfortable and cozy. A balcony outside with table and chairs overlooking the fields. We were warm inside, enough blankets. Hot nice shower. The homestay belongs to the restaurant just 1 minute ahead run by super friendly Karen family. Breakfast included fresh fruits, coffee, tea, eggs and a delicious local-style rice soup. Pick-up service from Chiang Mai airport. Communication with them through Booking chat was fast and easy. In person we were using Google Translator.

This stay is all about the stunning location. We were so happy chilling on the balcony which had a beautiful view. Felt like we got away from the tourist areas in this little (Karen?) village. The pizza from next door, and Thai restaurant on the other side were just perfect. Included a huge breakfast delivered to the room. I will definitely return!
