We couldn’t believe our luck walking up the stairs to see the house and view for the first time! Firkins Retreat is truly a retreat. Great amenities including a full kitchen and outdoor spa (which has a great view while you’re in it!) and we were amazed at how well considered and private it is. Brad was very responsive and friendly too. Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice place and so beautiful! We liked the pool and spa after long day. Comfortable bed and lot of space. Not directly next to the road so silence from traffic was very welcome. Paul came greet us and he was really friendly. Greetings from Finland!

If I could rate this one more than 10/10 I would. Tracee is amazing. The rooms are absolutely divine. The nearest I have been to a comfy bed since Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. The bathroom was the cleanest I have seen and loads of little touches that were so nice. Thank you Tracee and Brian

This was located very conveniently near the ferry for the QCT. The decor was gorgeous, from the little outside courtyard, to the bedroom and the bathroom. Speaking of which, I enjoyed an amazing soak in the large bath with all the amenities provided. The little touches like wine on arrival and bathrobes were much appreciated. And we were glad of some helpful hints about the local wineries when we left.

    I went to Picton for a night to catch up with friends and do some running with my little dog . the Gables was a perfect spot within easy walking distance of the bars and restaurants and dog friendly which was perfect . the cottage was warm and cosy and well appointed. Elisabeth was lovely and everything was great! will come back.

    Pleased with a centrally located pet friendly motel, but it felt very tired for how much they were charging per night. Other guests at the time gave a bit of a dodgy feel, smoking and drinking outside their rooms until very late at night (had to shut our windows in summer so we didn’t get smoke inside ours).

    Location was superb with a short walk to town centre. Tracee was there to meet us and show us to our room. Clear and easy to follow directions to find property. Very dog friendly and pup made to feel welcome, even providing a home made treat! Facilities were spotless with everything provided. Super warm, extremely comfortable beds, will certainly both stay again and recommend to friends and family.
