It was great, even so my Spanish ain’t great the host was super friendly and like to talk and help wherever he could. The house is amazing, it’s a family house, spacious and you feel like being a friend at someone’s home and not stranger in a hotel!

We stayed here for six nights while doing a Spanish School. Great location in the centre of town and close to the bus station. Room was very clean, spacious and the A/C was a big plus. Gerry and staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included is very tasty pancakes, fruit and toast. We loved our stay here and will be back.

Nice little restaurant on site made meals very easy and the staff was excellent. You couldn't ask for a more beautiful place to stay. The owner Daniel was incredibly helpful as well and made sure that we did not want for anything.

Miss Magrits was a definite highlight of our trip, would recommend to everyone! Amazing and well kept colonial property. Beautiful and endlessly helpful staff with a fantastic included breakfast. Photos don’t do the place justice. Location perfect, close enough to walk to everything, and private enough to get away from it all.

This property is within walking distance to San Juan de Oriente and Catarina where there is much to see and do if you are a creative traveller or on a walking holiday that passes nearby. This family of artists are simply wonderful; they went out of their way to make my stay as a solo traveller more enjoyable, introducing me to the fruits i brought in the local town and even showing me some ancient stone carvings in their local woodland. The accommodation offers excellent value for money and i enjoyed a wonderful ceramics lesson with a master ceramicist. Here you can enjoy an authentic Nicaraguan experience in terms of the surrounding environment whilst feeling safe, and knowing your hosts are trying to improve their local environment. Fall asleep listening to sounds of the forest and wake up to watch monkeys in the trees.
