A lovely clean spacious inviting room with hot water shower bathroom. We loved sitting on the balcony looking out over the garden watching the parrots and squirrels in the morning whilst we ate our delicious breakfast. The owners are so kind and welcoming, you even get a cold welcome drink arrival. The dinners were the best we've had at any homestay and lots of variety and generous servings. The son organised a safari for us, which was very reasonable 20,000lkr for 5hours ( 1 hr to park and 3h safari which was enough to see lots of elephants and 1h return) So, can recommend if you want to see elephants. We would definitely stay here again and would love to stay longer next time.

Binara Home Stay is another ( rare ) example of a special people and place during my trip round Sri Lanka. Yet again i can say, it is people who make a place( even, if the place itself is brilliant). Binara and his lovely family just made my stay there as if we are friends for a long time. Room was clean, comfy, bed really good ( firm mattress), with lovely mosquitere, kept simply but comfy. Terrace/balkony with view over their garden, another BIG feature there 🤗👏. Somebody here (in review section)were complaining about frogs and lizards, none of them presented ( would love to see some lizards or gekon in my bedroom 👏🤞) . Bathroom clean, comfy 👏👍. Last but not least, for some reason, Binara is pricing this „little paradise” at ridicously low price 🙄🤗😉 I’m happy to pay little, but he should in reality price it 2-3 time what is now 😉 All in all, my next trip to Sri Lanka WILL DEFINITELY include Binara Home Stay in „program”, but for 3-4 days, just to sit there and enjoy surroundings. There is a lake there, 5 min walk which is beautyfull and enjoyable to walk along 😉

An amazing place with fantastic staff. The location is superb, making it the perfect spot to stay for days and enjoy the views. I'd call it a gem of a location—great for drone shots, a lovely pool, and delicious food. An added bonus was the amazing and tasty English breakfast included with the booking. Nearby, you can enjoy boat rides and watch fishing activities. Plus, I even got a free car wash from the facility! Highly recommended for those seeking a calm and quiet retreat with beautiful sunsets.

Fantastic stay after our visit to the National Park We stayed here for one night after visiting the National Park, and we can wholeheartedly recommend this place. We were traveling with two children and had a wonderful stay. In the evening, we had a long and pleasant conversation with the owner outside, after which he surprised us with a delicious à la carte dinner. The next morning, a generous breakfast was waiting for us — beautifully prepared down to the smallest detail. The interior also deserves a special mention: tastefully decorated, full of atmosphere, and with great attention to detail. Not your typical, plain hotel room, but a warm and charming space with beautiful furniture. Everything was also spotlessly clean. We honestly couldn’t have wished for a better stay in this region. The owner sometimes also offers guided tours through the National Park — definitely worth asking about! In short: highly recommended!
