Best guest house I stayed at in Sri Lanka so far. Probably the best place to stay in Trincomalee. Excellent value. The whole place is incredibly clean, tidy and hygienic. 10 second walk to a beautiful beach. The room is spacious enough to practice yoga/ exercise. The family owners are very kind, relaxed and accommodating. I felt really good here and wish I could have stayed longer. Rent your moto here, I didn’t even ask the price because I instantly trusted the owner when I met him and was given a fair rate when I checked out. I would come back here without a doubt. 100% book this place if you come to trincomalee.

Excellent as I expected because I stayed there last year.So peaceful my days on the beach were tremendous, almost the whole beach to myself,only a few locals every now and then.Brenda makes the stay by providing anything and everything your heart desires.If you want a peaceful relaxing simple natural place to stay slightly outside of Trincomalee this is it. Clean beautiful room, lovely garden and lovely people

The host is such a great guy. Along with his many cars and dogs and his sweet mother, the host made my stay one I didn’t want to leave! Real life working aircon provided (not a fan— the real deal!) The room was cool on arrival and functioned perfectly. The bed and pillows were super comfy. 5 minute walk to the beach and restaurants.

*New opening* We were one of the first guests in this amazing, cozy accommodation. The staff was super nice and could answer every question and solved every little issue professional. There are 7 cabins on the property, Breakfast is served in front of the cabin. The location is quiet and close to the beach and restaurants. Everything is brand new, clean and works fine. We extended our stay. If you want to stay somewhere in Trincomalee - stay here. Real 10/10.

This place like our home. We stayed 1 night in this apartment it was very clean and comfortable. Everything was perfect. Very close to the trincomalee city and other places. There was a fully equipped kitchen. Air con is massive advantage in this place. The owner and family very friendly and polite.They helped us a lot and respond every question and message.     Hotel is more of a homestay. It is located just some 100 meters of the beach. It is not a very touristy beach, a lot of fishermen and stray dogs, but we liked this more local vibe, after a day we already knew the guys on the beach. The family, who runs the hotel, is trying to satisfy all your needs. The accomodation is basic (so is the price), but clean and in that way satisfief our expectations.

    Our room was extremely comfortable and well air-conned. Our lovely host was extremely accommodating and kind throughout our stay. He brought us tea whenever we asked as well as helped us arrange a snorkelling trip. We also loved the cats! There were many cats to play with, all extremely friendly and adorable. We wish the host all the best with rescuing more cats and dogs.

    Dyke Rest provided us with a home away from home while completing our PADI diving training. Moses and his mum made sure our stay was comfortable with a family-style of hospitality, providing delicious breakfasts and the option of dinner, chatting with us on the terrace overlooking the beach. The resident dogs were also much appreciated for cuddles!

    The host is the kindest person, selflessly caring for street dogs and cats in Trincomalee. By booking a room here you help him financially to take care of these animals. But apart from that, the room was also really nice: very clean, spacious and comfortabele, a nice bed, a nice and strong shower, and good airconditioning. I would defenitely recommend any pet lover to stay here when in Trincomalee!!

    This stay was an extraordinary experience. The owner has a big heart for animals and rescued many cats and dogs. These are living in the property so make sure you are a pet lover too. You don’t have to interact with them but some of them might be curiously approaching you. I had a wonderful time there. Enjoyed every minute. Talked a lot to the host and the background of the homestay. Room (bed) was very comfortable and had A/C and fan.

    The host was so friendly & helpful. And his devotion to caring for the stray cats & dogs in the neighbourhood is astounding. He really is a wonderful human being. The location is handy to some great traditional restaurants, especially Eastern Lankan & Trinco Lankan. The resident cats & dogs were all very well behaved & cute.

Filling breakfast (included) upstairs on the roof terrace Spacious room & bathroom with a lockable drawer Very close to the beach and a short tuk tuk ride to the main sites and a lovely beach bar, Fernandos. Loved the pet dogs and cats here too! Would recommend at this price point!
