Absolutely loved staying here. The beach was super close , short walk to peanut farm surf break . Very easy going indoor outdoor flow . Loved being closed to nature. Nilana was an absolute legend and very helpful!

Great stay for us. The team that run the hotel were really good. Swimming on the Panama beach every morning before breakfast was magic, the food was great. The room facilities were great as well. This is the nearest hotel resort to the Kumana National Park entrance. Few mins drive to the Arugam Bay Surfing beach. We will be back!

The comfort is simple but everything you need is there: clean toilets, fridge, large open-air shower with good water pressure, and electric sockets in the rooms. Exactly what we were looking for — the feeling of being alone in a small paradise of nature. An endless beach with no one around, a starry sky at night, and a stunning sunrise over the ocean for early risers. Extras like a beach volleyball court with ball available, hammocks, and very attentive staff made the stay even better. The owner also organized two unforgettable activities for us: one of the best safaris we had in Sri Lanka at Kumana National Park, and a peaceful boat trip on the Panama lagoon, which felt like friends showing us around their home.

Absolutely incredible stay! We only stayed at the Rilu Relxa Villa in Arugam Bay for one night, but it was enough to completely fall in love with the place. Everything was perfect: from the beautiful setting to the peaceful vibe there. The villa was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Also the outdoor space was ideal for relaxing. Even though our stay was short, we are already planning to come back. This place is a true gem. highly recommended for anyone visiting Arugam Bay. We can’t wait to return for a longer stay! 😊

It’s such a special place and we will definitely be back! The staff is very helpful and accomodating. The area is just unreal, you can spot elephants at sunset and sunrise and there are horses roaming around at all times. The rooms are spacious and they all have balconies facing the beautiful lake

As fresh as a daisy. The staff and service provided were top noch. Sri lankan hospitality at its finest. With attention and care given to every detail, but not in an intrusive way. All requests were met with a smile. Villa was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Most amazing was the convenience of lovely sunrise at the beach in front of Villa, sunset views and very quiet place. I loved absolutely everything especially how modern this place is, I even extended my stay. Such a good vibe here! Definitely the BEST accommodation in Arugambay! A NEW boutique style accommodation, with beautiful bright private rooms and dorm rooms. Exceptionally CLEAN, spacious, very comfortable beds, lockers and great AC. Private rooms are modern en-suite, whereas the dorm room has spacious modern westernised showers and separate toilets, which you can enter from both inside and outside the dorm room. A new open-air and spacious fully-equipped kitchen with everything such as smoothie blenders, free tea & coffee, fridge, stove etc. Up-top a perfect terrace to chill on/ have a beer, for digital no-nomad work or use this space to do some yoga, even more beautiful at night all lit up, quiet & peaceful. The property is cool, so whether hanging out here on a hot or rainy day, it’s enjoyable! Outdoor shower in the garden to rinse off after a surf. Excellent WIFI throughout, and great shower pressure with moderate water temperature. The open-aired lounge by the kitchen leads onto the garden at the entrance of the property where you can leave your bicycle/ motorbike, just as you see in the photos. The ultimate is having the surfing beach located less than a 1 minute walk from this accommodation, with all the tourist shops & restaurants around. Literally the PERFECT location! You can rent motorbikes/ bicycles from across the road, and both the neighbouring villages are less than a 5 minute cycle in either direction, surrounded by rice paddies and tons of nature & wildlife. You can cycle, ride, take a tuk-tuk or walk to surrounding beaches. Excellent hospitality! The kindest hosts/owner who are there for whatever you need 24 hrs, and the rates are beyond value for money. Come stay here at The Wave Rooms & Hostel, trust me you will be so happy you did! Thank you Rinas for such a wonderful 2 weeks stay. Can’t wait to return :)

We arrived at Whisky point not knowing what to expect. All I can say is that it exceeded our expectations in every way! We ended up extending our stay and became great friends with the owner, Nicola and his entire team! The rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable! Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner were exceptional! It could be the best Pizza I have ever eaten in my life. The fact that you are living on the beachfront, which is super clean with no crowds and a few minutes walk away from Pottuvil Point where you can catch good surf when the swell is good or swim off the main rock when its flat, makes this place the perfect location, away from the madness of Arugam Bay which can get super crowded. You can catch a tuk tuk to A Bay and be there in 10 minutes if you want to go into the A Bay. I am going to miss this place and my friends and will be back for sure! 10/10 all the way!

Had a great stay. The Owner & the staff really made us feel welcome. Fantastic Breakfast & we were spoiled with local treats. Helped us organize a great jeep safari to Kumana national park. Would definitely come back. Cheers from Peter & Heidi.
