Everything was great. The host is friendly and very helpful! The place is clean and the location is excellent, middle of the jungle, 5 minutes walk from lions rock. We arrived in the middle of the night and the property owner was so helpful and nice and waited for us. They made us Sri Lanka breakfast and coffee in the morning :) The rooms are simple and clean, the AC works, the pool is clean. You can hear many birds in the morning and it’s a full jungle experience. We had a late flight and the check out was late which was also no problem!

It is more beautiful a place than the pictures-if that’s possible! We spent 3 days, one just relaxing in the premises and we don’t think we can get over it! The people working are really helpful, really kind and provide you with anything you need. From their welcome until their tips for our departure, they were tireless and obliging. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Also, they can arrange any visit in the nearby monuments and cities with excellent service. Bonus for us: on the day of our departure monkeys were playing outside our room, which we enjoyed so much. Can’t recommend it enough!!!!!

The property was lovely and serene. Kalahara, the host, was just exceptional. He does not overlook a single detail and he is gracious and willing to share excellent suggestions with you. I loved that he walked me through his garden, pointing out all of the unique trees and plants he has.

I spent three nights at Oleena Homestay and had an amazing experience. Jeewa provided great recommendations for things to do in the area, helped organise transport, and even took me on a day trip to Pidurangala and Dambulla in his tuk tuk. The home-cooked meals by Masha were absolutely delicious — a perfect introduction to Sri Lankan cuisine. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Had a wonderful stay at this resort, the room was very comfortable and spacious. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and helped us organise stuff that we needed organising and were kind enough to let us check out late as we had an evening flight. A perfect location to explore the Lion rock-10 mins away and very easy to walk to local restaurants. We also had a big breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
