A special place in the countryside. The staff are welcoming & helpful, a beautiful pool and lovely gardens. A retreat from a busy life. Dinner & breakfast we’re surprisingly delicious as we only booked a couple of hours before arrival.

The stay is in the middle of the jungle, and that’s what makes it very unique and appealing. The host grows many fruits and trees themselves which they use to prepare local/organic food. Very friendly host, thank you for the pleasant stay. We wish we could’ve stayed for a few more days.

Jay’s and Anju’s place is one that cannot be missed! ! Located on the route from Dambulla to Kandy close to both cities and many other attractions, like hill walks or waterfalls. The hospitality they offer is 5 star and the authentic food, mostly prepared from ingredients grown in their garden, is just unbeatable. You can feel Anju puts her heart and soul into the food. A wonderful and comfortable hotel in a stunningly beautiful place on the lake. A spacious room with a balcony overlooking the lake and the sunrise. Delicious food and a pleasant stay. We had a really lovely stay at Pearly‘s! Ranjan the owner organized a cheap tour to the Knuckles Mountains by TukTuk for us. He also joined us to show us all the beautiful places over there. We went to a waterfall where we were able to go swimming and we also enjoyed the nice views. For breakfast we had typicall Sri Lankan food and also some Western options. Pearly the owners wife prepared everything for us. After that we were able to have a look into their home and talked about different topics. Our highlight was when Ranjan took us to local spice shops where we bought really cheap vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. We enjoyed everything about our stay there. Thanks for having us! P.S.: The sunrise from the terrace was stunning and there were many monkeys to see.

I had an amazing stay! The place has such a peaceful vibe, surrounded by nature. The villa was clean and comfortable, and my favourite feature was the inner courtyard, which made me feel so connected to nature. The tree hut was the perfect nook for reading, and the staff even arranged one of our dinners there. We were also able to experience a well bath - such a one of a kind experience! The staff were incredibly attentive, always making sure everything went smoothly. The food was delicious and full of local flavours. Loved the soothing sound of birds in the morning. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Dambulla who’s looking for a relaxing and authentic Sri Lankan experience.

The hotel is located in a scenic location bordering a beautiful Paddy field. We were able to reach the place in 10 minutes from the Kurunegala Clock Tower. The tuktuk charged us two dollars for it. The staff welcomed us very warmly and prepared everything we needed. There is a restaurant serving Sri Lankan and Chinese food at affordable prices. They are very tasty. But a bit spicy. They charged us a very reasonable price for the bottle of wine we got at this restaurant, which had both local and foreign liquor. They also provided free laundry service, and they were kind enough not to charge us anything for morning tea. Although there are a few things that need to be improved, we are indebted to them for providing us with a fair and valuable accommodation for the money they charged us.
