The accomodation is really close to Wilpattu national park. The owner of the place and the whole staff are superb. They can cook exceptional dinner for you with local flavours. They also organize full day safaris with a really enthusiastic staff for a good price (the owner of the place is a pro photographer so they are a really good option for safari if you would like to do some wildlife photography). The safari car is a jeep which is a better alternative than a pickup according to me. Of course it is not a luxury accomodation but has really good value/money ratio.

Super kind hosts, they were so attentive. They made us dinner even though we arrived late, they even got up at 5am to make us breakfast to bring with us on our safari. Location was great as we’re close to the safari. The room was comfortable and everything we needed. Would definitely recommend staying here!!

Loved the delicious evening buffet. What a treat to try so many different dishes all prepared by the family. We were travelling with a disabled gentleman in a wheelchair the staff were wonderful accommodating all our needs.

Very nice experience we had at this accommodation 👌 The members of the staff are very kind and you get this family warmth feeling when you stay at this place. Wonderful on-site staff, friendly and helpful. I don't speak Sri Lankan so communication in English was a bit of a challenge but possible. Food breakfast, lunch and dinner is tasty good and reasonably priced. Prepared lunch for Safari tour was most excellent. The tour operator they are kinda connected to is priced right and I would use them again. Big water jug in the room.

    Great location, located close to the entrance of the park. The suite has a plunge pool in the shade, very refreshing! Beautiful lake for birding located right behind their property. The guys are super friendly and also advised on type of safari. The safari itself was out of this world, while many cars did not see much that day we saw 3 leopards, elephant, bear, and much more.

    Very friendly staff and excellent diner (3 courses). Location close to the park and binoculars are offered for the safari. We enjoyed our safari. It is a beautiful park and we saw many birds, deer, one elephant and one leopard for 10 seconds in the bush. Based on the good reviews we had hoped to see a bit more of a leopard, but we were happy because the day before no elephants or leopards had been seen. So you need to be a bit lucky.

    A good location close to park entrance. Anton was a charming, knowledgeable host, with excellent english. A keen wildlife photographer. Breakfast and evening meals were very good, and safari breakfast and lunch plentiful and tasty. The safari, organised by Anton, was excellent, especially birdlife and leopard sighting. Binoculars and wildlife books were available to use. The whole stay was very enjoyable.

    We absolutely loved our time at Anton's. He could not have been more helpful, answering all our questions before we arrived. The rooms were simple and clean. The food was so delicious - especially the dinners served in the cute dining room with lamps. The hotel is only a few kms from the national park entrance. Anton arranged our safari with Harsha, which was great, and even drove us to our next location. A perfect stay.

    It was only a one-night stay but really a great experience. We were received with a cold drink and even had the chance to go to the lake for a walk and see animals. The dinner was delicious and the next morning the safari was a great experience, we saw leopards and that really made my day. Nice hospitality and good communication in order to make all the plans. Would recommend a stay here without any doubts and Wilpattu is a great National Park.

    The loveliest host with thoughtful touches throughout our stay. Also helped us out with getting some things we needed in town, and gave us a lift to the bus station. Clean room, gorgeous dinner with a special / romantic set-up. Perfect location, short drive to the national park. Highly recommend.

    The perfect location to stay if you are in for a Safari in Wilpattu NP. Hi Almost next to the entrance. We recommend to book a day tour in the park with the owner of the lodge. Anta is a super host and a super tour guide and can tell a lot about the wildlife and the park. The lunch and breakfast in the jeep were excellent. On your return you will be treated to a delicious 3-course meal in a romantic setting in the garden. Always different and very tasty. Just a big THANK YOU!
