This is like Utopia, the perfect world. I appreciated especially the guest book with detailed information and the surprise dinner every night witch was exceptional, the helpful and friendly staff, the garden tour, hikes, workshops and closeness to nature. Also a highlight was yoga every morning with the sunrise. I never wanted to leave this place.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Gempinis Coffee Shop and Villa in Bali, and it was an unforgettable experience. A very warm and welcoming homestay where you truly feel like part of the family. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with cozy beds, a hot shower, and a lovely semi-open bathroom. The food is delicious, made from fresh local ingredients. Putu and his family greet you with genuine warmth and hospitality. Set almost 900m above sea level, bordering a coffee plantation, and facing east, these cabins are an incredible way to experience a little of mountain life. The sunrise from here is spectacular. Mt Agung can be seen in the distance and Mt Batukara is to the left. The cabin is cosy, comfortable and well equipped. Really special. F&B is available a short walk away and also delivery is available from the restaurants in Jatiluweh.

The staff went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. We actually had an accident on the scooter on the way to the place & they supplied us with bandages & some special oil to help treat the wounds. The views are great & there’s some nice places to go nearby.

    The Eco Lodge is in a pretty and remote location on the slopes of Batukaru volcano. The cottages are dotted around lush gardens growing fruit and herbs. Our cottage had a shady terrace to relax on. There’s a really excellent restaurant serving local specialities, a freshwater swimming pool and some comfy places to sit. From the lodge there are excellent guided walks into the plantations, rainforest and temples.
