Great place, clean and comfortable, among nature at short walking distance from the caves. Great hosts. Georgi and Dariajan honor people of Georgia with their lovely hospitality spirit and made us feel at home. Great food (Dariajan could open a restaurant 😊) with products from the garden… Absolutely delicious. Many thanks for these nice moments that will stay in our memory. Incredible Location you will never get closer to the people in Georgia than there and you are right at the sight. The landlord is very very nice..showed us around and the abandoned village. Unfortunately he does not speak English. His wife cooks very good food. The rooms are perfectly adequate for one night. Further on, the landlord drove us up the steep hill at the sight.

Fantastic location for the caves! Bring cash with you, no cash machine anywhere near. Excellent host and great food!

I can definitely recommend the guesthouse. Clean with nice rooms and very friendly people.

We absolutely loved our stay here, it had so much to offer on our short trip to the region: from Varzia cave town and the local castle and walks to the beautiful rivers in the area. Although the rooms are pretty basic, the pool, brewery istelf (yes, fresh beer off the tap here!!) and the kitchen/restaurant are stunning. We would come here again!

We were looking for a place to relax for a few days between cities - and Gvala was the perfect place. The hosts were so accommodating and friendly. Everything they served us for breakfast/lunch/dinner came from their own garden and was delicious! Despite a language barrier at times, the hosts were very fun company and great to enjoy our evenings with.
