It is so close to the town centre and everything you need is on your doorstep. We didn't use the car at all, we could walk everywhere. It's so good that it's dog friendly too because it's such a popular place for dog owners. Andrew was right on hand for any questions we had too and answered straight away! Food, location, room, staff all very good. We took our well-behaved little dog with us. There where feeding and water bowls with doggy treats in the room when we arrived. Would we stay there again? A decent walk down to Bowness and the lake but worth the steps with plenty to see/do. Very quiet, couldn't hear any unwnated noise (apart from our dog). Very dog friendly pubs, cafes etc. Booths supermarket and train station a few minutes walk away. John the owner greeted us and informed us of a lovely local walk Orrest Head which gave amazing views of Windermere lake and the surrounding county. Health club access was a lovely added bonus.
