Bed was super comfy, large bathroom with nice fresh towels provided. The room wasn’t huge but perfect for 2 people. It was a nice touch to have fresh milk and cold water in the fridge provided. Really big mirror for getting ready. Clothes steamer provided, which you don’t often see. We had lovely weather so we were fortunate to utilise the courtyard space, this is shared with the other room but plenty of space for you all to sit. We went in the pub and had a few drinks on Saturday night, it’s a nice local with friendly people and staff. We went to bed around 10pm, there was noise from the pub still but it wasn’t overly loud and we were expecting it considering we knew we were staying at a pub, though it does still feel private and out of the way. It’s great to have a back entrance so you don’t have to walk through the pub if you don’t want to. The location didn’t really matter for us but it was perfectly centrally located!

Easy parking and great location to the Tollesbury saltings, the estuary and Malden area. Lovely hosts and tidy accommodation with a nice lounge area, small but very functional self contained kitchen. Upstairs was pleasant and the hot shower was lovely. Possibly difficult if you’re 6’ and over which we are not. We’d definitely recommend this stay located on the edge of a farm field! We appreciated a late check out, which made our holiday stay even more enjoyable. S&A Tauranga NZ

Everything, the location was lovely and tranquil, but also close to everything (Colchester, Coggleshall and Flatford all really easy to reach and local shops and restaurants not far - local pub is good too). The hosts were very thoughtful and provided everything needed for a lovely stay. It was homely, easy to find, well laid out for parking and picking up the keys, is one of the best holiday cottages I have visited.
