From the moment we arrived at No. 26 by the Sea in the town of Oban, it was clear we were in for a delightful stay. Greeted with a sparkling wine as we checked in, the welcoming ambiance was just the beginning of a truly splendid visit. This B&B, housed in a beautifully maintained historic building, holds 9 elegantly designed rooms. We stayed in a charming room on the second floor. While the absence of an elevator might be a concern for some, the quality of the accommodations more than made up for the brief climb. The bed was incredibly comfortable, promising a good night’s sleep, and I particularly loved the plush bathrobe provided! The modern amenities blended seamlessly with the historic charm of the building. The bathroom was stocked with high-quality essentials including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion. Coffee and tea can be prepared with a kettle. Breakfast at No. 26 is an event in itself. We were asked to order from an extensive menu the night before, and the next morning, a professional chef prepared our selections to perfection. We also loved the common room which features an honesty bar well stocked with wine, gin, whisky, beer and non-alcoholic beverages. Located in a quiet part of the town right at the sea front, the B&B is just a ten-minute walk from the heart of Oban, with its various restaurants and shops. Parking is available and free of charge. The service at No. 26 by the Sea was impeccable, the attention to detail and the cozy yet sophisticated design of the B&B made us regret only having stayed for one night on route to the Isle of Mull. Overall, our experience at No. 26 by the Sea was exceptional. It earns a well-deserved 10/10 for its outstanding service, lovely design, and the overall cozy experience it provides.

This place is simply amazing! The staff were so friendly and eager to help us. We only stayed for a short time and truly regret not being able to extend our visit. The kids can’t stop talking about the house and how much they want to come back! The place was spotless, very comfortable, and of a truly high standard. We are definitely planning to return!

I would definitely stay here again. It was perfect for. Two comfortable beds, Netflix and streaming on the very nice TV. Shower was excellent. Location was incredible smack in the town centre and the fly was super clean with brilliant amenities.

    Very comfortable, clean and spacious lodge in a great location, So peaceful and quiet. Great restaurant on the site too (The Barn) - delicious home made food and dog friendly. Would recommend.

    Location is good. The car park was full so no parking available however the local car park was extremely close by and had loads of spaces. The man at the check-in desk was very friendly. I like that it’s very dog friendly.

    Peaceful location welcomed just after arrival by host to check everything was OK. Dog friendly with walks on the doorstep. Forest and Loch within walking distance. Barn Bar & Restaurant onsite for food and drink. Chalet warm and comfortable with everything you need for self catering holiday. Comfortable bed with hotel class linen and towels. Would recommend for outdoor types especially. Down a track with passing places so you need to drive slowly! Friendly hosts with their own dogs so very dog friendly. Ideal base to explore Argyll.

    The location is superb. Set in a quiet glen just a few miles from Oban. The views from the cottage were excellent.The walk through the forest to the loch with the dog was lovely. Having the Barn Bar on ur doorstep was a bonus. All the staff in the bar were very friendly. The whole site is very dog friendly.

    The location is perfect for anyone who looks for a peaceful break and easy access to Oban. The accommodation is dog friendly with an outside shower if your pet needs a wash! The local barn serves delicious meals and has a wide range of drinks! If you have any questions, Katie is very friendly and helpful. We can highly recommend the Cologin lodges, and we will definitely return!
