    We loved the location. Very clean and homely accommodation. Amazing bath to relax. Two spacious bedrooms. Very easy check in and communication in the lead up to arrival was really good. Able to access the pub garden to chillout in the sunshine. Very dog friendly

    Super dog friendly, amazing staff, spacious room with original features, lovely bed and bedding, great shower, welcome pack included dog treats/toy. Great food, special requests no problem, very accommodating chef! Good breakfast choices and flexibility to cater for dietary requirements. Location is a lively town not far from Hadrian's wall and caters for all.

    Pub is in great location for exploring area. Our dog friendly room was spacious and comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and the pub has a great atmosphere.

    Lovely village location, very clean, spacious cottage. Nice touch was the breakfast items. We went to the Pheasant Inn next door and met Peter and his family, who own the cottage they were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, we had already eaten on route, from the reports from two other couples we had missed a treat as the food is first class. We most definitely will be back and for longer next time. Dog friendly was a great bonus.

    Our second visit. The facilities are great, it's dog friendly and having an enclosed garden for the dog was great. The area is full of good dog walks and lovely countryside and so many dog-friendly cafes, restaurants and places to go. We'll be back as it's a great base for all that the North Lakes has to offer
