Breakfast is amazing, with a-la-carte eggs, and buffet with yogurt parfaits, breads, and other snacks. Beautiful dining room. On-site parking is an authentic local experience, but much appreciated. Staff were really wonderful and helpful. After-hours check in was flawless.

Lovely quiet location but 5 minutes one way into Ambleside and 5 minutes walk to Waterhead on banks of Windermere the opposite way It was clean spacious has everything we needed was dog friendly and had a little garden out back for the dog

What a location! The perfect quiet spot with an amazing view and excellent walks on your doorstep. The apartment itself was perfect, a lovely large bedroom and excellent lounge and kitchen area. Then there is the balcony, just wow! To watch the ducks play in the water was lovely. Our dogs loved the balcony too, no issue with safety for them. We'd Definitely stay again.

    We had a really enjoyable stay this New Year at Ferndale Lodge. We had a dog friendly room; it was separate from the main house and had its own entrance …perfect for pet owners. The room was compact, clean, and had everything you would need . The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was absolutely fine. Our stay was fantastic value, and a wonderful location too. The host, Rob, was very accommodating, and we will definitely stay here again.
