Very calm, quiet, privacy and beautiful amazing location.

The property is easily to locate. If you are using bus to go around, this is the perfect place for it as the bus stop is literally in front of the camp. The staff was super duper nice, they also help us about the buses schedule and let us have late check out since our bus was late. The best part is we got to see aurora just as we opened the door from our room. So if you are wondering if you can see the auroras from this camp, yes you can! (if you lucky of course). You can also catch the bus to Saariselka ski resort from here. Also the frozen lake is very beautiful. Wish we stayed there longer.

Beautiful cottage. It’s a way out of town (check the map) we didn’t have a car but Miia kindly arranged pickup and drop off with a stop at the shops for food. I absolutely loved my stay but I’ve detailed a few differences with this cottages to what you might expect so that you can get an accurate impression. The most important thing is the cottage does not have running water or a bathroom. You will need to bring drinking water, and water for washing/dishes/sauna is hand pumped from a well outside. There is an outside composting toilet, which is perfectly fine and was not difficult to use even as I was there in winter… I just needed to put on a jacket and shoes and was comfortable. The stairs are very steep, not suitable for anyone unsteady on their feet. Downstairs is the bunk bed. Upstairs has a double bed and a single bed (no walls or doors though, it’s an open mezzanine level). Wood for the fire is included and you use dried bark as the firelighters. The central heating kept the house warm even without the fire. The Sauna is attached to the side of the house and uses a wood fire. It takes a couple of hours to heat up. There is also a big water tank in the sauna which uses a wood fire beneath to heat up, you can use this water for washing in the sauna. The instructions state only to use one lot of wood under the tank which was good advice as it got very hot and any more would have made it boil which would be dangerous. Miia also gave us use of a battery powered camping shower so we could wash easily. The cottage is on the river which is completely frozen over winter. It is walking distance from Villa Karhukumpu which we used for activities, where Jrki the owner was very kind and helpful. Overall I found Miia to be extremely helpful as a host, and the place is as beautiful as the pictures.

The house was amazing, it had 5 bedrooms, 2 toilets, one bathroom with sauna and a very big living room with kitchen. The windows were very big and allowed to see the beautiful landscapes and colors that Lapland offers during wintertime. The house is quite close to Ivalo center, which has allowed us to reach supermarkets and other facilities very fast. We found the rooms clean, and the host was very kind to leave us general instructions on the city. He also was very fast to answer when I asked him advice for how to use the sauna. As a plus, we saw beautiful Northern Lights right next to the house. This was the perfect accomodation for our Lapland trip and I would recommend it to anyone.

Great cottage in the middle of the forest. Perfect spot to spend a few nights with friends and explore the Ivalo and Inari area. The kitchen is very well-equipped, the living room is cozy and the bedrooms are comfortable. Bed linen and towels are provided. We had an issue with the sauna and the host was very responsive and made her best to resolve the situation as soon as possible. Highly recommend!

Arrival late due to unforeseen circumstances, but the owner still be there to waiting for us until late night in the winter! Super friendly owner and very beautiful and new cottage! The most important - We saw northern light just from the cottage! Everything is excellent! Thank you ❤

A very well equipped cosy house, with everything you need for a perfect holiday. The surroundings are enchanting, (especially during ruska season) with a wonderful view of the lake. The outside sauna is a real Finnish experience. Fantastic to watch the starry sky or the aurora borealis from the hot tub in the evenings. Perfect place for a retreat. I will definitely come back! The hosts are very kind and helpful.

Semi remote area, wonderful views, peace & quiet, great Hosts

A superb house near Ivalo - we had a fantastic stay! The house is only a 10 minute drive from the airport (€20 by taxi) and a 10 minute drive from Ivalo where there is a large supermarket and other basic facilities. For a wider selection of restaurants and activities, Saariselkä is only a 20 min drive and hence the house is perfectly situated for everything you need, whilst also being super secluded and quiet. We visited in the winter (Dec/Jan) and it was magical in the snow, with the frozen lake making for a beautiful backdrop! When booking I was hesitant with the airport nearby, but with there only being only a few flights a day and it being far enough away, it really didn't cause any disturbance at all - if anything, it was a more of convenience to be nearby. The facilities in the house were great, with everything you'd need for a short and long stay. There was also a fire and sauna which we didn't use, but all was easy to set up if you so wished. The owner was very responsive and replied quickly whenever we had any questions. We were provided with lots of YouTube videos for how to operate everything - very useful! We were also super lucky during our stay, with the Aurora Borealis flowing straight over the house one evening! The frozen lake and open views made for an exceptional viewing of the lights, if you get lucky. We felt like we had our own private display! A once in a lifetime experience which was enhanced by the location of the house and its situation on the lake. Don't hesitate to book, we had a trip of a lifetime here!

Everything. The hosts were extremely friendly and courteous. They organized everything for us, helped us with every question and made this trip unforgetable for us. We had a really, really great time. Highly recommended!
