We spent 4 nights here. We spontaneously added an extra night, which was the best decision. The view is breathtaking and probably unrivalled in the region. It's a very cosy atmosphere and you immediately feel at home. Carlos is very attentive and tries to fulfil all your wishes. In the evening they light up the fire place, very cozy. Definitely a highlight for us on our 2.5 month trip.

Rondador Cotopaxi is your best bet in the area of the Cotopaxi park. Highly accessible from the Panamericana, this place offers amazing food for breakfast, lunch and dinner (many people stop here on their way up or down the Cotopaxi as the restaurant is renown all-around for its great food). Our host Fernando made sure we had everything covered and organized daily tours to any destinations (Illinizas, Cotopaxi Park etc.) with his guides. Really comfortable, cosy room. Real fire in room was a treat! Good quality, homemade food. Loads of animals including friendly dogs. Reception/dining area reminded me of a cosy English country pub. The hosts organised a guide at short notice to take us to Cotopaxi.

If I could give this place more than ten, I would. Our stay there was wonderful and Paulina was simply the loveliest host I have ever met on my travels. Her mother also cooked us a three course meal that was delicious and enormous - and for a ridiculously low price. The Lodge has a variety of accommodations and a lovely lounge with wood fire. Outside are two llamas and two sheep! The location is on the road from the PanAmericana to the gate of the Cotopaxi National Park so is perfectly situated. Paulina is extremely knowledgable about the area and we were so grateful that she spoke English so that we could talk to her and learn from her. We had originally planned to stay somewhere else but a medical issue required a change of plans - and we are so grateful that we ended up at Rumipaxi Lodge.

This place was amazing! The hosts were fantastic help with everything. The apartment was just perfect and exceptionally clean. The beds were very comfy and the shower was hot and powerful. The location was great for getting around to all the main tourist attractions. Thanks again for such a great stay.
