This is an amazing stay. If you got the change, you should definitly stay here. First of all, the owners and staff are super nice and helpfull. They helped us book our tours, but also.. we arrived later then planned, but one of them waited for us and was very kind. And made sure we arrived save and sound. Second of all the view is incredible. Ofcourse nobody can controll the weather, but even with clouds and rain its gorgeous. Third of all the tours they can book for you are with really good company's. Normaly I prefer to explore by myself, but considering the time we had in La Fortuna a tour was best use of time. We booked a massage and it was GOOD! Also booked a combination tour and that company was also very good. Good wildlifespotters, nice humor and respect for the nature. The pictures are like it is, so you really now what to expect. No surprises.

The story of the owners is amazing. You can feel the passion which they put in creating the Nepenthe. The view from the apartment and from the pool is amazing. From there we visit La fortuna, Hot springs and Arenal 1968. It is very peaceful place to stay.

    The location commands an amazing view! There were spider monkeys on the trees and the garden was really well done so there was a lot of butterflies and hummingbirds. We also really liked the restaurant and I can't say enough good things about how nice all the staff was.

    This is a fantastic bungalow that offers great views of volcano Arenal and the lake. The location is great as it is outside of a quiet village and very tranquil. The bungalow is large and conveniently furnished. The owners are very friendly. We enjoyed the daily breakfast on the big terrace of the restaurant. There are several breakfast options and the Costa Rican breakfast was sensational. We would definitely book this place again. There are small shops and restaurants in the surrounding area.

    The staff were extremely friendly and the location can’t be beat. The on site spa was lovely and extremely competitively priced, as was the Phoenix restaurant. We fell in love with Lake Arenal through our stay here!
