Perfect location for hiking in Murren and around and a good start for the Northface trail. Good breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms and an unforgatable view of the all three northfaces of Jungfrau, Monch and Eiger, permanently in sight. The personnel and the owner of the Hotel were very kind and helpfull. The road from Murren to the Hotel takes around half an hour uphill and it is not recommended for troller-bagages (the path is paved with small stones). Best way at arrival is to take the funicular from Murren up to Allmendhubbel and from there to hike down to the hotel about 10 minutes. It is not so tiersome this way. Should you have trollers as luggage I also recommend to contact the property. They could provide transportation. At departure, hiking down to Murren is easy and recommendable (since it is downhill) having always the mountains in sight. We stayed for three nights but two nights is optimal. We hiked Northface trail which we recommend via Wasserfall Sprutz and arriving at Gimmewald were we had the hightlight of the jurney having a cold beer in a hot day on the terrace (upstairs) at Pension Gimmewald.

Christoph’s warm hug and hospitality is exactly what you need after the hike up to the dormitories. Make no mistake, it is an uphill climb, make sure your heart can take it. If you have heavy bags, please take the last funicular up to Allmendhubel from Mürren before 5pm. We had no regrets, Christophe received us right at the door and brought us warm snacks when we reached. Excellent service, dormitories were spacious and comfortable for our needs, you may leave your luggage there. Highly recommend!

An absolutely wonderful hotel — not just because of its great location, cleanliness, and stunning views from the windows, but above all because of its highly professional staff. I experienced the fastest check-in of my entire travel career: I simply said my name, and I was handed the room key — no prepayment, no passport number check, no forms to fill out, no credit card details. Every year, on the same dates, we visit Mürren to celebrate our anniversary and stay at this hotel for a while. Despite having traveled extensively throughout Switzerland, we have never experienced a hotel that offered such exceptional value for money. Upon learning that it was our anniversary, they surprised us with a complimentary upgrade to the room type we had booked, for which we are immensely grateful. Our room featured a french-balcony with breathtaking mountain views. The hotel's location, along with its restaurant and terrace offering panoramic vistas, was outstanding. After we had our anniversary dinner, we also attended the piano concert held at the hotel’s restaurant. It was a great experience. We enjoyed an incredibly romantic holiday, rekindling our memories. Thank you very much for everything.

I was able to check in early and was upgraded to a better room. The room was exceptional. Ski room was great and opened up to the laneway that leads to the lifts, a walk of about 50m. Breakfast was fantastic. Location was in the centre of town opposite the COOP. The walk from the Stechelberg cable car was less than 5 minutes. Cannot fault the staff, they are the best in the business!
