When we arrived, there was some urgent construction underway to improve the units. While this caused a bit of disruption to our stay, we decided to check out a day early and informed the team. To our surprise, they took the initiative to contact Booking.com on our behalf and arranged a refund for the final night. On top of that, they offered us an additional $50 as a gesture of goodwill. They weren’t obligated to do any of this, and it truly reflects their commitment to excellent service. What could have been a disappointing experience was completely turned around by their responsiveness and care. The hosts were quick to respond to any queries, the location is fantastic, and the rooms are comfortable. At the end of the day, it all comes down to service—and in this regard, they truly excelled.

El Black Bear Lodge se encuentra en South Lake Tahoe, a unos 800 metros del lago y a 1,6 km del teleférico de Heavenly. Las instalaciones de primera calidad, la atención del personal, nuestra habitación muy bonita, el lugar en si es hermoso, su ubicación es muy buena, super recomendable!!

We stayed in the Three-Bedroom Villa, and it was easily the best hotel room I’ve ever seen. There are plenty of things to do around the property, and the swimming pool area is great too :). I’d definitely stay again 100%!

Este acogedor bed and breakfast solo para adultos está situado en los árboles de la histórica orilla oeste del lago Tahoe, en el parque Tahoe, a pocos pasos de una playa privada del lago Tahoe. We arrived at night and I loved how much lighting there was with all the string lights, it was a very cute environment. The bed was super comfortable and the cabin stayed very warm. We also walking over to the beach (even with snow) which gave us great views of the lake. I would 100% stay again, maybe in the summer too!

This was the perfect home base for our Tahoe trip! It had everything we needed and we especially appreciated being able to use the garage since we brought our bicycles with us. The host was very responsive and friendly throughout our stay. Excellent communication. We felt comfortable and slept well - very important! The coffee bar was also great to have in the morning! Wish we could have stayed longer and would love to come back again!
