The owner of the camp has assembled a great team of commited people. They provided us with everything: information, transport, guide and superb food. In fact, you can have the camp arrange your game drives in the Masai Mara and your transport from and to Nairobi, all at very competetive rates. The owner, Magdy, will explain everything to you through WhatsApp. All the accomodation and facilities are safe and clean (but opt for the larger and more comfortable rooms!). I did a lot of research before my booking, and I think Greenwood (also recommended in the Lonely Planet guide book, by the way) is among the best choices, if you are on a budget. Go there!

If you are looking for a place to stay, look no further than Talek Bush camp! Firstly, it’s a great location right next to Talek gate (a gate that’s pretty much in the middle of everything in the park, making it easy to get to anywhere in Masai Mara). The accommodation itself is right next to a river in a lovely natural setting where animals come by and you can absorb the nature. They also have people working there to escort you at night to make sure that you are safe (thank you Simon!) The space itself is great as well (we got a free upgrade to the tent which was very luxurious thank you <3). They do measures like hot water between certain hours and no electricity at night (1am-5am), which I think is great to reduce the environmental impact of tourism on the area. Food deserves a special mention - it was honestly the best food we had during our entire trip in Kenya, starting from the veggies, soups, the packed lunches/breakfast when you go on game drives. They also organise game drives and we had the best driver Solomon - big thank to him too! The staff are very welcoming and honestly I would look no further JUST BOOK!

Mara Hilltop cuenta con una alberca al aire libre, jardín, una terraza y bar en Sekenani. We had an amazing stay at Mara Hilltop – truly one of the best experiences we’ve ever had! The view was breathtaking, and the tent was very clean, comfortable, and beautifully set up. Special thanks to Chef Allan for the delicious meals, and to Lucia and Steve who were always so helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. Our game drives were unforgettable with Ken, an excellent driver who made sure we saw the Big 5! In Nairobi, John was also a great driver who took care of us very well. One of the highlights of our trip was the nature walk with Dickson – he was such a knowledgeable and engaging guide, making it an incredible experience. A huge thank you to NJ, a very patient owner who always responded to all my queries, and to Nick, who went above and beyond to ensure our safety and comfort, even checking in with us on our way home. Everything was so wonderful that we ended up extending our stay. We highly recommend Mara Hilltop Camp to anyone visiting the Masai Mara – you will not be disappointed!

The view from the campsite was absolutely beautiful, no Tv just there to enjoy nature and get the full Masai Mara experience. The staff were all so friendly and helpful towards our family giving our children a fun experience also.

Kobe Mara was an amazing find from all the places to stay! From the very first email with Lea to Sammy and the team at the camp including our game drive guides, which we booked directly via Kobe Mara - again, a huge ASANTE SANA for making our Masaai Mara trip so memorable! The place is just utterly beautiful! Seeing a zebra, and giraffes right from our tent was such a wondrous experience. All the details of the tent were highly appreciated as well! It felt like being in a movie… Furthermore, the food - especially the fish on a bed of spinach cream and side of mash… It all tasted like “coming home”. You do have your own kitchen too if you prefer. The team on site are always there to help if anything. Easily one of our top favourite stays ever - Highly recommended! <3
