Loved the amazing friendly and helpful  staff, who gave us good advice and discussions. Great location in central Gion in a quiet street but walking distance to almost anything.  Great variety and range of eating places and the river close by and of course as many temples as you need with cool peaceful gardens as well as museums. Nishiki Market is a short bus ride or interesting 20min walk.  The room was beautiful and fully equipped incl a small kitchenette, electric blackout curtains and lots of tech Breakfasts were copious and varied to suit most tastes, best scrambled egss in Japan. Amazingly bestiful designer chairs in a little sitting area and free laundry room was an unexpected bonus!

In a prime location in the centre of Kyoto, Kyoto Umekoji Kadensho is within 1.7 km of Kyoto Station and 1.8 km of TKP Garden City Kyoto. Each accommodation at the 5-star hotel has city views, and guests can enjoy access to a restaurant and to a bar. Private parking is available on site. We loved that it was a modern version of a traditional Japanese Ryokan! The hotel was very clean both in the public areas and the hotel room! Staff was very kind and professional. They were very accommodating and well versed in different languages. Very foreign and local people friendly.

Situated in Miyazu, within 2.8 km of Amanohashidate Beach and 2.7 km of Chionji Temple, Fairfield by Marriott Kyoto Amanohashidate features accommodation with a terrace and as well as free private parking for guests who drive. Featuring a shared lounge, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen and a 24-hour front desk for guests. Lovely hotel short taxi ride from the station with very comfortable beds. Room was a good size beautifully laid out and spotless. Staff were very good, advised us where to go for dinner and also where to catch the local bus from to go to Amanohashidate spit and cable car. Happy to arrange for a taxi when we checked out to ensure we caught the train. Hotel is across the road from a shopping center.

Well situated in Kyoto, Hotel Emion Kyoto offers a buffet breakfast and free WiFi throughout the property. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a terrace, as well as a sauna and a hot tub. Private parking is available on site. Everything has been excellent. The staff has always been very friendly with us, since the first moment: they kept our luggage, they recommended us how to move around the city and they sent our luggage to the next hotel. The breakfast was awesome, and it was the best out of all the hotels we visited in Japan. It included both Western and Asian options. It also has many restaurants inside the hotel, and there is amazing Onsen (warm bath). Moreover, it is next to the fish market, where it is possible to access through a sidewalk from the hotel and it has a free entrance. Finally, the location is pretty close to Kyoto station (1 stop by train ~10 minutes). If I had to stay again in Kyoto, I would definitely stay again in Emion Kyoto Hotel.

GOOD NATURE HOTEL KYOTO has a fitness centre, garden, a restaurant and bar in Kyoto. With free WiFi, this 5-star hotel offers room service and a 24-hour front desk. The property is 1.8 km from the city centre and 400 metres from Gion Shijo Station. The bed was very comfortable, the room was spacious and had a tea table and a couch. It even had an area/room for the luggages/wardrobe. the toilet was big- a vanity area, separate toilet, shower and a bathtub tub.We booked a 3 single beds corner room which was very comfortable. Absolutely spacious and well thought of design. The breakfast was a good variety of western and Asian cuisine, and had fresh salad, and they also served food that’s locally grown/farmed. Hotel was also environmentally conscious providing refillable stainless water bottles and a water filling station on each floor. The bath products provided were also organic and gentle on the skin and hair. The location was perfect! It is right next to Takashimaya and approx 70 meters away from the main crossing. It’s on the quieter side of the busy area. There is a small grocery on the ground floor selling local and home grown food, and many organic fruits and veggies. The hotel also has a few restaurants. We were only able to try Roku- a ramen place and we really liked it. The patisserie in the hotel was always full- many locals also go there for dessert/tea time. Across the hotel is a famous gyoza place called Chao Chao which always had a long queue. This is the best hotel I’ve stayed in Japan! I’ve been to Japan many times and I highly recommend this if you’re going to Kyoto and want to be centrally located. I will stay in this hotel again when I go back to Kyoto. The staff are very helpful, warm and friendly. They helped me in making a reservation for the airport bus from Kyoto to Kansai airport in Osaka. They also booked a van taxi for us since there were 3 of us with luggages.
