One of the best accommodations I’ve ever had. Mr. Kaesa was extremely helpful — he was waiting for us upon arrival and provided us with the most detailed information about Berastagi and the trek to Gunung Sibayak. The rooms were clean and spacious, and breakfast was available. As a bonus, the price was extremely low — almost ridiculously cheap considering everything that was included. I highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Berastagi.

Además Dimmer, el dueño, es encantador y está dispuesto a ayudarte en todo para que tú estancia sea lo más agradable posible. Allí mismo se pueden alquilar scooters para explorar la zona. Nosotros lo hicimos y encantados.

Comfy beds, sweet, friendly hosts/workers who were very accommodating, the huts are very cool looking (hammocks). It’s amazing they’re really in the jungle but still nearby where you wanna be. A good price for what you get. Washrooms are nice and clean. Everyone hangs out in the main shared area (restaurant area) and plays guitar and plays cards in the evening (but not too late, quiet hours are respected). During the rainy season, you can swim in the pools of the waterfall that is literally one second away from the lodge.

Mila Homestay en Padang, está establecido a 10 km de Siti Nurbaya Bridge y ofrece hospedaje climatizado con WiFi gratis, así como acceso a una terraza. Dila y Michael son unos anfitriones geniales. La habitación es cómoda y muy limpia, con aire acondicionado. El desayuno completo y riquísimo, con unas vistas increíbles. En nuestro caso, ellos mismos se ofrecieron a recogernos y llevarnos (por un precio muy inferior al de Grab) tanto al aeropuerto como al puerto, ayudándonos a comprar los billetes del ferry. Si volvemos a Padang, repetiremos con ellos segurísimo. ¡Muchas gracias por todo!

Asim Paris Guesthouse & jungle trekking tiene un jardín, zona de playa privada, una terraza y restaurante en Bukit Lawang. El lugar es un lugar para estar relajado totalmente. Tienes el rio a tus pies, sonidos de animales. No se escucha nada, algo alguna moto que pase por la carretera. Relax total. Las habitaciones un gusto, limpias, y cómodas. La ducha separada del wc lo suficiente para no mojarse. El pueblo está a diez quince minutos a pie por detrás.

I very much enjoyed my stay here. I spent 2 nights before my jungle trek and 1 night after. I booked the 2 day/1 night jungle trek with them as well. I actually think that is the only way you can stay at their guesthouse, so they ensure that their trekking clients have accommodation. Communication with the manager, Dedycool was faultless, from the time i made my initial inquiry to when the driver picked me up at the airport. The room was spotless, the bed and pillows were some of the most comfortable I've had in 5 months of travel, and the AC did the job. The staff could not have been more welcoming, both upon arrival and every time I came for a meal or returned from an outing. The location outside of the village ensured a peaceful nights sleep. I enjoyed the 30 minute walk to the center, allowing me to see people going about their daily lives. The jungle trek was phenomenal in every way. Both guides, Edwin and Janet, were professional and got excited when we saw orangutans (we saw 7). The food both at the guesthouse and on the trek was very tasty. The trekking was challenging but not overly so. It was fun scrambling up hillsides using vines and roots as foot and hand holds. The camping was much more comfortable than I expected. The camping mats were thick, and the lightweight sleeping bag was just right for the temperature. The rafting back to the village was super fun and a great way to end the 2 days in the jungle. I'm very pleased with my decision to book through Sumatra Orangutans Treks.
