Lesbia y Julio nos recibieron muy bien, nos dieron toda la información e incluso se levantaron temprano para asegurarse de que cogiéramos el barco para ir a Tikal. La pousada se encuentra fuera de la isla de Flores pero en 2 minutos puedes tomar el barco para llegar allí.

We especially adore the tranquil lake harbors for swimming and relaxation. The f ood they gave us was also great!

O Zapote Tree Inn está localizado a menos de 16 minutos do Aeroporto de Flores e a 4 minutos de barco da Ilha das Flores, em um ponto privilegiado para apreciar o pôr do sol e o nascer do sol com... Amazing place. Don’t be put off by the location - it’s super easy to take a boat to and from Flores Island, the boat costs just Q10 per person (US$1.50), there are loads of them, and they run all day until around 10pm at night. Zapote Inn itself is really lovely - lots of places to chill, they sell cold beer on the property for Q15, and offer great food at reasonable prices (we particularly enjoyed the typico breakfasts and the steamed fish dinner). The room was nicer than it looks in the photos, with the best beds we’ve had anywhere in Guatemala. The room had great aircon and was quiet at night. Another great part about this place is that it backs onto the rainforest. A short walk from the accom we saw howler monkeys climbing through the trees - an amazing sight! Not to mention the toucans and hummingbirds hanging about the property. The Tikal tour that Peter organised was great and good value. Peter was also able to organise a shuttle direct to Caye Caulker at a slightly cheaper price than is advertised online. We have already recommended this place to a few of our friends travelling in Guatemala and will continue to do so.

Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Bolontiku Boutique Hotel Member of the Cayuga Collection is located 15 minutes by boat from Flores Island. This hotel is a real gem. Located on the shore of Lake Petén, with its bungalows hidden in the surrounding forest, it could not be more beautiful, relaxed and quiet. Add to that a really good restaurant with exceptional breakfast (everything is made to order, no buffet), and the most helpful and friendly staff you can imagine. The bed was super comfortable, which is really important to me.
