Yining Airport is 8 km from the property. Such a lovely and charming place. Upon arrival, we were given a very friendly welcome and were offered a choice of two rooms. The room we stayed in was large, clean, and nicely decorated. The bed and pillow were comfortable, which is the most important thing for me. The bathroom was also clean, had a very nice shower, and soft towels. It was also very quiet. The curtains were blackout curtains, so we weren't bothered by the morning light. There is a nice courtyard, but as we only stayed for two nights, we didn't have much time to sit there. The location is great, on the edge of the tourist center. There are nice restaurants to eat at within a 15-20 minute walk. Wifi works great (although you need a VPN to enter the general apps, like everywhere in China).

We did not have breakfast but was directed by the staff and local for places to eat.. lots of restaurants around the place.The staff at the lodge are most helpful and very informative. One particular girl went out of her way to help us organise car ride to where we want to go and personally make sure we get onto the right car..The rooms are very clean and comfortable .

The owner is super cool, he reminds me of Jay Chao 周杰伦. He even offered me and my friend to pick us up from the airport and brought us around and gave a little tour, and brought us to get permits sorted out. (as we were heading to tushkurgan another day). As for his homestay place itself, it was very comfortable, the moment we arrived his hotel, we were greeted with two leng lui (beautiful staff) that were very friendly, along with his other friend, plus 1 cat. The place instantly felt warm and cozy, as it was homey. There's where we found a nice cozy homestay and also found like a nice family kind of vibe with them, where we spend most of the time there chilling together at the lobby day and night chatting together with new friends. We had booked a double room with a private bath and we were more than happy with our choice. The whole atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxed, and we met interesting travelers. The hostel is situated in a nice, friendly neighbourhood with lots of small restaurant and we enjoyed it very much to sit in front of the hostel, seeing the world go by. In the morning with a very good coffee, in the evening with the local red wine. Sometimes children or the local English teacher come by to improve their English. Tang and her team are very friendly and helpful and she speaks excellent English. We enjoyed a great day out to some of the scenic spots in the area, Tang organised for us. As it was so hard to leave, we booked two more nights.
