We have been travelling for 2 years and hardly ever do we give 10/10 as there’s always something that could be better. Not here!! Secure parking - always very important for our motorbikes. Room - cannot fault it. Our own little home from home. Every detail has been thought about as if the room has been lived in by the owners, not just turned into a guest house. The bed was super comfortable and large, comfy armchairs, good working desk, fabulous wardrobe and storage including hangers!! There was also a patio where we could sit outside. Loads and loads of power sockets all round the room and in convenient places. We had no trouble charging anything at all. Bathroom was beautiful and the shower fantastic. All toiletries provided and super thick towels. Breakfast was amazing. Cooked to order and hot! Lumba is a lovely person and fabulous host. She couldn’t do enough for us and looked after us extremely well. We felt like a part of the family. We extended our stay and stayed for five nights in the end. Such a wonderful place.

If I could give this place 20 stars I would. It was truly one of the nicest hotel experiences I have ever had and it is mostly thanks to the incredible host Chimney. He is a remarkable person and host. He helped us so much when we had a car break down and drove us across Savuti to Khwai (which is an incredible distance). I highly recommend staying here and booking meals and activities with Chimney. His game drives were fantastic and he has a great chef who makes wonderful food. The lodge itself is very simple and comfortable with a very reasonable price but the extras are what makes the place extraordinary. Chimney is also a community leader and many things that he is doing is to help his entire village. It is clear the lodge is a labor of love for him and he built it on the site of his grandmother's house.

We stayed in a chalet that was perfect for two—spacious, comfortable, clean, and wonderfully quiet, with an amazing view to enjoy at the end of each day. The location is tactically positioned, making it an excellent base to explore nearby highlights like Savuti, Linyanti (in Chobe National Park), and the Chobe River Front—all reachable within a two-hour drive. Although we didn’t have the chance to go on a guided tour with Titi, as it was the end of our trip, we’ve heard great things and would definitely ask him to show us around if we return. Martin, the owner, and his girlfriend were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a peaceful, well-situated retreat near some of Botswana’s top safari destinations.

The staff is incredibly nice, Spha (the chef) is an amazing cook! My wife is a celiac, she can`t eat gluten, and they manage to prepare her even gluten-free bread, cake and pasta!! The game/boat drives we had were the best ones we`ve had, by far. Kabo, our guide, managed to find every animal we wanted to see (even leopard and hyenas) and somehow was able to answer every question we threw at them. The tents are amazing: you would think that given that it`s tents you`d find a lot of bugs, but we didn`t see a single bug inside our tent during our 3-days in the hotel. The balcony view from our room was just overlooking the river, and we manage to see buffalos, impalas and hippos just passing by. We were even woken up one day by monkeys knocking on the roof and the walls! As a bonus, the internet connection works well, even from the rooms and the borderless pool overlooking the river is also great. We had 3 amazing days at Jackalberry!!

Muchenje Campsite and Cottages offers three self-catering units, each featuring an open-plan kitchenette that is equipped with an oven, toaster and refrigerator. Perfect location for visiting Chobe through the Ngama gate, which is much quieter than the Kasane side. The grounds are lovely and everything is well spaced for privacy. The cottage was spacious, clean and well appointed. The owner, Hayden, is super knowledgeable about travel, wildlife, etc. In the area and very generous with his time helping his customers plan visits to the park or onward travel.
