The location is perfect if you have rented a vehicle. We personally loved the Mons area, but also managed to visit Brugge, Brussels and Charleroi. One of the highlights of our stay was the warm hospitality of the hostess — she made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The location is also ideal, just a short drive from Pairi Daiza, one of the most beautiful wildlife parks in Europe. After a full day of exploring, it was such a joy to return to this quiet and relaxing place. We highly recommend Les Arbres sous le vent to anyone who appreciates comfort, nature, and genuine hospitality.

The property is non-smoking and is situated 48 km from Valenciennes Train Station. We are a family four and we enjoyed two nights’ stay at this lovely Auberge. There was easily accessible parking just outside of the rooms. The accommodation was spacious with two good size double bedrooms and a very comfortable living area and a little kitchen. It was just as it appears in the photos. It is right next door to a very lovely restaurant, where the breakfast is served in the mornings and they served lovely food in the evenings (extra cost for the evening meal as per their menu). The atmosphere was lovely at the restaurant and the service was very friendly. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We had the misfortune to suffer a punctured tyre just before our arrival at the accommodation. This was obviously potentially really inconvenient for us - particularly happening on a Friday evening! The owner was extremely helpful. He was even kind enough to get up early on a Saturday morning and accompany us to the local garage and ensure that the problem was sorted quickly for us so that we could fully enjoy a day at the zoo. We were really made to feel that this was no problem for him to do so, but we felt this was definitely above and beyond expectations of usual level of service. We were extremely grateful for this as this event could have really ruined our only day at the nearby zoo. We would highly recommend both the rooms and the restaurant.

On arrival at 10PM, the Chef cooked a michellen standard candle lit dinner for us with a fantastic selection of wines, spirits and cocktails. 3. All the bread, Cakes, cookies, Crossaints etc are baked fresh daily on site. 4. There is a beautiful Terrace. 5. Breakfast area, Lounge area, Children’s play area and the dining area were very cosy and stylish. 6. Fantastic and friendly staff. 7. Spacious room with a beautiful bath with nice shampoo, plenty of towels and piping hot water. 8. Afforadble - I personally thought an experience like this should cost a lot more! Perhaps double or triple the amount. 9. This hotel is Baby friendly! Huge effort was taken to make sure the baby was safe, warm, happy and taken care of. 10. The coffee was exceptional and that helped the next morning after the few drinks ;)
