I recommend this accomodation to everybody coming to Kisoro. It is peacful, green, calm. The garden is amazing and could serve as a destinaton on its own. The host is the kindest imaginable and will cater to your every need. The breakfast is also very tasty.

The service of the staff was amazing, they were ready for everything we could need, even cleaning our shoes after the gorilla trekking! The food was also outstanding. The start of the trekking is also only 5 minutes drive or 15 minutes walk.

Incredibly helpful staff. Ivan not only helped us book bus tickets, but also brought us to the bus stop and waited with us until it came, which was a couple of hours. We would have been lost without him.

From the moment I arrived at the airstrip,the lodge had arranged for a driver to pick me up, to arriving at the lodge,the hospitality was exceptional. The staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind ,they made me feel right at home. The lodge is beautifully perched in the hills, offering stunning views of the surrounding forest and mountains. Waking up to the peaceful sounds of nature and seeing the morning mist drift through the trees was simply magical. The rooms at Kaara Mountain Lodge are spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed. There’s a perfect balance of comfort, luxury, and eco-friendliness. I especially appreciated the little touches, like the cozy hot water bottles in the bed at night and the warm turndown service after a long day. The food was another standout ;fresh, delicious, and made with great care. Each meal, from the early breakfast before trekking to the hearty dinner in the evening, was a treat. The dining area itself is beautifully set, making every meal feel special. Most importantly, the lodge is ideally located for gorilla tracking, making the logistics incredibly easy. After an awe-inspiring day of encountering mountain gorillas, returning to the calm and comfort of Kaara Mountain Lodge was the perfect way to unwind and reflect on such a unique experience.

EVERYTHING. It was in an amazing location overlooking Bwindi, with astonishing views. The rooms were exceptionally clean, the staff, Jennifer in particular were amazing. I even got a push start when my battery went :) The food was delicious. If you are considering booking here, then please do! It was the best place we stayed in the whole if Uganda & Rwanda. A wonderfull wiev over the lake. We did enjoy the atmosohere by the peacefull place. The food was tasty and healthy. We did prefere the local organic food which was made for us in the restaurant. Also the breakfest was splendid every morning. San was the chef who made tasty vegeterian food for us from local organig ingredients. Peace was the best ever as a waitress, as she was smiling and talking with us . The cottage we had was perfekt with the astonishing wy to the blue lake. We did watch the birds, the stars and we made a wonderfull boattrip on the lake. We had also a trip to a village of pygmis. At the last night we did see a flying star! Then we had the change to hope that we could come back here again! There was also time to make some jogapractising by own. We did read books. We did make meditation daily by ourselves. Also we had time to make watercoulourpainting by us selves of the landscapes. I tried to paint the landscapes which did very much remaind me of William Turners paintings Everything was organaised by a fantastic personal! We were kept so well that it felt almost like at home. The owner Edvard was so kind. He did organise everything for us. It was so nice to visite the pygmivillage and dance with them. Edvard took us to the border of Ruanda. He did help to get trough the formalities. Ores was the excellent guide on our boattrips! Ores took care of telling us how to behave at pygmivillage. He did also tell us very many stories about Uganda. Kampu was the expert to make campfire and drive the motorboat. He was always polite and helpful. Charkotte, the manager, was keeping everything in excellent hands. Always smiling and always helping in everything. With the experiencis of travelling more than hundred countries we do highly recommend this lovely gorgeous place Lake resort! We do both feel like new persons after spending four nights there!!     The interim manager was great - she was super friendly and helpful. The head manager was out of town but we met him the morning we checked out - he was also super friendly, caring. Food was fine. Fine location. They were extremely helpful and caring with our motorcycle parking and arranged to have it stored in the locked courtyard of a neighboring business (there is no secure parking on the premises, and they didn't feel comfortable with our bike parked on their terrace, even if locked to a post). Food was tasty.

    The staff and the owner were really nice. The breakfast was really good, particularly the samosas. There is a covered courtyard. The parking in the street was safe, as there is a bank next door with guards.

    Lovely place and such an incredibly welcoming family. Gideon, Esther and Andrew took such good care of us, and we had an amazing homecooked meal with them one of the two nights we stayed. Esther even got up to make us breakfast at 5am when we were off to see the gorillas! They also brought us juice, fruits and tea on several occasions which was very much appreciated. Short walk into town as well, and we could safely park the car within the walls.
