We loved our stay in Kendwa Carletto Style. The bungalow was clean and spacious with a nice patio for relaxing with a book. The staff are really helpful and added little details to make our stay extra special. It was nice to get a feel for the locality on the short walk to the beach. At low tide you can walk over and back between Kendwa and Nungwi. If the tide comes in you can take a short taxi ride or water taxi. There is a really nice Italian restaurant with delicious cocktails on Nungwi beach. Can't remember the name but it's up some wooden steps, right beside the Mama Mia ice cream parlour(not the one at Kendwa Rocks)

food was absolutely exceptional. Kai, the Chef is really amazing. it was as if, everyday, we were invited in a "gastronomique restaurant", buffets were gorgeous, different each day, very delicate and tasty. He is really exceptional, and we did not expect such a wonderful food experience. staff is friendly, helpful, thanks to the General Manager , Tuan , who is everywhere and always there to make our stay an incredible experience. He has been very attentive to us all the time during our stay, as well as Anthony, his F&B manager. good singers in the evening, during dinner. although the hotel has 76 rooms, the staff makes you feel "at home" with a very personal and professional approach. Aisha at the reception was of great help. beach is very beautiful, you can swim there, unlike in the East Coast where we stayed before. see is "turquoise". there are plenty of room and deck chairs for everyone to rest , we did not use the swimming pool as we prefer to take advantage of the sea , but it is very large. we hope to be back in this wonderful place, where we stayed only 3 nights, it was not enough to enjoy the place, and the marvellous huge beach of white sand . (if you like to walk, turn left, you will see a small and charming "port" and the sea is more "turquoise" than in any other place.

I had a great experience in this hotel. The hotel itself is very new, and you can see that in nicely decorated spacious room with quality furnitures and lots of shelves and racks that are more than enough to store your extra stuff. Room was very clean, housekeeping was professional during my stay. Breakfast was great, wifi was strong enough to browse and check your emails. They even have a generator for power outages that are very common in Kendwa. 10 min walk to beach, which is not big deal, you even find a chance to grab a few groceries at a local store on your way back to hotel. Hotel staff was very friendly, helpful and always available to ask anything. They even let me check out after 5pm in my last day which made my day so easy as my flight was late in night. I will definitely book Crystal Coast again in my next visit to Kendwa.

Pretty much a resort. Private huge area, beautiful gardening. Restaurant. Private beach with sunbeds where you won't be bothered. Amazing beach. You never have to leave unless you want to. AMAZING sunsets. Make sure to walk along the beach towards sunset and sit down and just be in the moment surrounded by other visitors and the local folks.

The hotel was in a wonderful setting, and the staff were very kind, helpful, and friendly. The food was always delicious and fresh, and the oceanfront was perfect. I would like to especially mention Omar at the reception, and while all the waitstaff were kind, if I'm spelling the name correctly, Punda was our favorite. 🥰

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Kendwa Cool & Calm Hotel! From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed and well taken care of. The owner was very kind, always available, and ready to help with anything we needed. He’s also a great businessman who clearly cares about the guest experience and continues to invest in the hotel, constantly introducing improvements and new features. Each morning started with a royal breakfast that included delicious, fresh fruit – a real treat! The staff were all very friendly, and the waiter created a cheerful atmosphere with his kindness and great sense of humor. His warm attitude made a big difference. The room was always well cleaned, with hot water, a working air conditioner, and a fan, which made our stay very comfortable. Special compliments to the chef – the dinners were outstanding! We tried several restaurants in the area, but the food at the hotel was definitely among the best we had. Every meal was full of flavor and clearly made with care. We truly felt at home during our stay and would absolutely recommend Kendwa Cool & Calm Hotel to anyone visiting the area. It's the perfect mix of comfort, great hospitality, and amazing food. We’d love to come back!
